Many of us dream of eating pastries and desserts without sacrificing our figure. And this is not as unreal as it seems.
By replacing some of the ingredients, homemade baked goods can be made much healthier and less nutritious.
Tip # 1: Substitute Sugar
Sugar is the main enemy of a beautiful figure and its use affects the health of the whole organism. Substitute dates, honey, maple syrup, or stevia for white refined sugar. It will turn out not only sweet, but also fragrant!
Tip # 2: Choose the Right Flour
The most useful flour is whole grain, it contains the necessary vitamins and minerals. To get used to the taste, replace flour in baked goods gradually. Also use other types of flour – corn, oatmeal, buckwheat. They are lower in calories and will add variety to the diet.
Tip # 3: Change your oil
If you need butter or vegetable oil for baking, you can replace them with fruit puree – apple, banana, pumpkin, carrot or avocado pulp. Do not use ready-made puree jars. it contains an extra portion of sugar, and therefore calories.
Tip # 4: Don’t Use The Whole Egg
Eggs are good for their protein, and yolks are high in cholesterol and hard to digest. Use just one yolk in baked goods. Take up the rest with proteins. Eggs also easily replace fruits and fruit purees.
Tip # 5: Substitute Milk
There are many types of healthy milk: coconut, almond, oat and others. All of them have a lower calorie content in comparison with cows and will bring a lot of benefits. Also, baking with other milk acquires a rich aroma.
