5 inexpensive and high-quality liqueur wines

Many will be surprised to learn that in Russia you can really find high-quality and inexpensive alcoholic drinks. But I have seen this from my own experience. I will name liqueur wines of relatively low cost, which are included in the rating of the best not only by Roskachestvo experts, but also by me personally.

“Tokay Yuzhnoberezhny”, harvest year 2012

This is not the first time that Tokai has taken the lead in the rating, compiled according to the results of an independent study. On a 100-point scale, it is estimated at 87 points. Produced since the 1930s, aged in oak barrels for at least 2 years, produced under the Massandra brand.

This dessert drink has a multifaceted and at the same time harmonious taste. It clearly contains notes of peach, pear, raisins and even fresh rye bread.

Some drink it, diluting it with mineral water, which, in my opinion, is absolutely not worth doing, because when mixed, all the fullness of taste is lost.

It costs “Tokay Yuzhnoberezhny” about 770 rubles.

“Muscat Festival”, vintage 2015

The best rosé wine from the rating compiled by Roskachestvo received 86,3 points. Produced by a fairly well-known wine company “Solnechnaya Dolina”.

The drink has a pleasant color and aroma. The taste is harmonious: with hints of melon, figs and pink jam.

“Festival” goes well with pastries and fruit, but I like it more as a drink on its own. It is easy to drink, but not everyone will like it because of the rich sweetness.

Estimated price 550 rubles.

“Muscatel Massandra”, vintage 2011

The drink is a cross between dry and more fortified wine. It is softer than Muscat, not so cloying.

Fruits are clearly felt in the taste, and the delicate aroma gives off honey notes.

I like to drink this wine in small sips: it is rather viscous and goes well with light salads.

You can buy it at a price of 400 rubles.

Derbend Gold, 2016 blend

This Dagestan white sweet wine with a strength of as much as 17%. It is produced with a long exposure by the Derbent Cognac Plant.

The drink has a pleasant amber color. The aroma is filled with spices, dried fruits and oak notes, raisins are clearly felt in the taste.

Despite the sufficient strength, “Derbend Gold” seems light to me. It is especially suitable for desserts. It costs about 860 rubles.

“White Muscat of the Red Stone”, harvest 2014

This wine is produced under the brand name “Massandra”. In production, only one grape variety is used – white Muscat.

The taste is velvety and delicate, with light hints of citron and a viscous aftertaste. The aroma is pronounced, with honey-floral notes.

In my opinion, “White Red Stone Muscat” is perfect for both solemn banquets and romantic dates. Pairs well with light desserts, milk chocolate and fruits.

Approximate price 950 rubles.
