Hazelnut

Hazelnuts contain active compounds essential for good health, such as monounsaturated fatty acids, phytosterols, fiber and antioxidants. The daily consumption of approximately 70g of hazelnuts would have notable effects on the reduction of the level of “bad” cholesterol (LDL) and total cholesterol. This same consumption would also increase the antioxidant activity of the blood, thus preventing the oxidation of lipids (= fatty substances) partially responsible for cardiovascular diseases.
