For some people, motivation goes off scale, for others, enthusiasm disappears at the first failure, for others, “flashes” of inspiration constantly happen, but they fade away just as quickly … if you really want to kindle a fire in yourself that will never go out and will keep your interest in life, it is important to avoid what kills motivation and the will to win.
1. We throw what we like
Many people know that we are interested and able to please us. But we neglect this, telling ourselves that there is not enough time and energy for these interests and hobbies. We forget that passionate hobbies need to be supported. If you rarely do what you love, it’s time to change that. If there is not enough time, get up early and force yourself to make some time for your hobbies, even if you are tired. Soon you will feel a surge of energy and enthusiasm.
2. We find everyday activities boring.
Everyone has to do something unpleasant. We may not like to take out the garbage, work, clean the stove, but this must be done. Boredom is caused not by duties, but by attitudes. If you try to think positively, you can feel the enthusiasm for any business. Find a way to motivate yourself to do your daily chores.
For example, try practicing mindfulness. As you go about your business, focus on movement and regularly remind you of the benefits that mindfulness brings: improved concentration, calmness and confidence, and reduced stress levels.
When doing something, always remember what you will get. For example, earn money for what you wanted to buy, or for a trip that you dreamed about. As you clean, imagine how clean the apartment will be when you’re done. Focus on the positive and your motivation will rise.
3. We listen to pessimists
People who are inclined to criticize our ideas can take away the enthusiasm of anyone. A gloomy outlook on life is “contagious”, so it is best to avoid contact with such people whenever possible. And if communication is unavoidable, don’t let them drag you into their swamp of pessimism. The rest of the time, try to surround yourself with happy and successful people, their energy and enthusiasm will be transferred.
4. We neglect health and wellness
It’s hard to stay enthusiastic when we’re exhausted all the time, eating unhealthy foods, and arguing with our loved ones every night. Try to lead a healthy lifestyle and keep yourself in good shape. To maintain optimal energy levels, regular exercise, a nutritious diet, and at least 7 hours of sleep per night are important.
Constant relationship problems with your partner? Try to fix them, and if it doesn’t work out, think about whether it’s better to leave. Constant relationship stress keeps you from being a healthy and happy person. Take care of yourself, and motivation will come, and self-esteem will increase after it.
5. We don’t do enough to be happy.
Do you think we ourselves are the smiths of our own happiness? Or should we wait until life brings it to us on a silver platter? If you agree with the first statement, then you already know that we can create for ourselves all the positive emotions we want, including enthusiasm. Those who do not want to try for happiness, but are waiting for gifts from fate, usually lack energy and motivation.
The happiest people are well aware that they create joy for themselves, not relying on others or on circumstances that are beyond their control. Follow their example and you will soon feel an incredible surge of inspiration.
