It seems that there is no person who is absolutely satisfied with his life. At one point or another, everyone thinks about how they could live differently: for example, by setting new goals or in a different way by revealing their potential. It’s never too late to “reboot” and you can start right now.
1. “Turn off” the negative influence from the outside
Each of us has a friend who is constantly dissatisfied with his life. It is one thing when this dissatisfaction is sometimes manifested for a reasonable reason, and quite another when nothing pleases a person. Try to help a friend remember what he can be grateful for in life, drawing his attention to joyful moments. If his mood remains the same, then it is worth moving away from such a “source of negativity”.
2. Write down your dreams
Sometimes the daily routine absorbs people so much that they forget what they really want and in what direction they are moving. This happens when people stop dreaming, because dreams have great power: they give inspiration and elation. To start realizing your desires, you need to do a little exercise – write down your wildest dreams on paper.
3. Fill your life with positive impressions
The more positive emotions a person experiences, the better. But emotions are different emotions, so it is important to ask yourself all the time: “What feelings do I need at the moment?” Some people need a drive, dancing in a club, music and people, others need the sea and a beach, others need a car ride to watch the landscape change outside the window, hear new sounds and smells. Whatever it is, the main thing is to add bright colors to life.
4. Start practicing mindfulness
We spend most of our lives in the clouds – that is, thinking about things that are not related to our current activities. Wandering thought is associated with the activity of the central regions of the brain – the prefrontal and parietal cortex. This zone of the passive mode of the brain is the network of operational rest, which is activated while waiting for something. Meditation, on the contrary, reduces its activity and helps to come to awareness, which causes a feeling of inner well-being. That is why it is worth training.
5. Remember the unity of body and soul
“The body never lies” – many specialists who can “hear” the body build their work on the understanding of this law. It “does not lie”, because it exists on the principle of homeostasis – complex reflexes that maintain the balance of internal systems. The famous American physiologist Walter Cannon called this ability the wisdom of the body.
In order not to interfere with the maintenance of balance, you must first get rid of incorrectly formed body patterns, clamps and muscle blocks. It’s easy: dancing, yoga, Pilates and special techniques for quickly filling energy will help you.
Changes in our lives are constantly happening, but in order to realize our potential, we must be able to direct them in a positive direction. The important thing is to take the first step today.
