If only there was a microwave in the kitchen, you can work wonders with it.
Living remotely can feel like hell not only because you shouldn’t go outside. Also because you have to cook continuously. Breakfast, lunch and dinner consume so much time and energy that work suffers from it. However, there are dishes that can be cooked in literally five minutes, and without messing up unnecessary dishes for this, we just put the mug in the microwave. These recipes are so simple that even a child can handle them.
Omelet with ham
Ingredients: 2 eggs, 2 tbsp. l. milk, half bell pepper, 2 slices of ham, some herbs, salt and pepper to taste.
Cooking: break the eggs into a mug, add a little milk, shake everything with a fork. Add chopped ham, vegetables and herbs, spices, mix. We put in the microwave for 2-3 minutes. When in doubt if the omelet is ready, stir it and turn it on for a few more seconds.
Macaroni and Cheese
Ingredients: half a cup of pasta, half a cup of water, a little salt, a quarter cup of milk, 50 grams of cheese, pepper to taste.
Cooking: fill the pasta with water, salt, put in the microwave for 2-3 minutes. Stir, add milk, pour grated cheese and a pinch of black pepper on top. Mix again and microwave for 30 seconds. Sprinkle with herbs for beauty – done.
Chicken pie with vegetables
Ingredients: a small piece of boiled chicken fillet, 2 tbsp. l. frozen vegetables, 1,5 tbsp. l. starch, 3 tbsp. l. broth or water, 1 tbsp. l. milk, salt and pepper to taste. For the test: 4 tbsp. l. flour, a pinch of salt and baking powder, 3,5 tbsp. l, milk, a little butter, cut into small cubes, a pinch of any greens.
Cooking: finely chop the chicken, mix with the rest of the ingredients, salt and pepper. We make the dough: mix flour with salt and baking powder, add butter and milk, herbs, mix everything thoroughly. Put the resulting dough on top of the chicken mixture, put it in the microwave for 2-2,5 minutes.
Rice with broccoli and cheese
Ingredients: 5 tbsp. l. steamed rice, inflorescence (not a head of cabbage!) broccoli, 2/3 cup cold water, 0,5 tbsp. l. starch, 2 tbsp. l. milk, 4 tbsp. l. grated cheese, salt and pepper to taste.
Cooking: Dismantle broccoli into small pieces, mix with rice, salt and fill with water. Cover the mug with a plate and microwave for 3,5-4 minutes. Add starch, cheese, milk, mix and microwave for another 3 seconds.
Rainbow cupcake
Ingredients: 0,5 cups sugar, 50 g softened butter, 2 eggs, 110 g flour, 0,5 tsp. baking powder and the same amount – soda, a pinch of vanilla and food colors.
Cooking: mix eggs, sugar, butter, vanilla. Sift the flour and mix it with baking powder and baking soda, add to the egg mixture. We divide the dough into several parts, add dyes of different colors to each. Put a spoonful of dough of each color in a mug and microwave for one minute. Pour the whipped cream over the finished muffins.
Well, if you don’t want to dirty the dishes at all, make a regular muffin – vanilla or chocolate. You can bake it directly in the same mug in which the dough was started. Just cut the amount of ingredients in half.
