In pursuit of beauty, we often harm our health. And health problems inevitably affect the appearance. How to break this vicious circle, advises Nizhny Novgorod nutritionist, Candidate of Medical Sciences Alla Polyashova.
Each new day should be started with a glass of water. As a rule, after waking up, we go to the shower to invigorate the body. But the body after sleep requires not only external washing, but also internal! And a glass of clean water drunk on an empty stomach will easily cope with this task. There is nothing better than pure water! Moreover, it is imperative to drink water throughout the day (2–2,5 liters per day), preferably every hour. To keep it close at hand, carry a small container of water in your purse.
Start your day with carbohydrates
Breakfast is a must. Moreover, the first meal must necessarily include carbohydrates. Women’s mood is directly related to the intake of carbohydrates in the body, which is why we love sweets so much. But sweets contain simple carbohydrates, while we need complex carbohydrates, and these are primarily cereals (wheat, rye, oats, rice, corn, barley, millet). Firstly, cereals promote the production of serotonin (which is responsible for good mood and well-being) and regular bowel function – the key to normal skin condition. Secondly, cereals are a source of B vitamins, and beauty directly depends on their presence in the body. So it is advisable to include porridge for breakfast in your diet every day.
You need a daily intake of sufficient protein. Our body is constantly renewing itself, and protein is simply necessary for it as a building material. It is good when breakfast includes animal products: eggs, cottage cheese, cheese, yogurt. In addition, dairy products are the main source of calcium, and calcium is also the basis of beauty. Calcium is the effective work of the brain, heart, our activity, our energy, this is the state of our skin.
It is important to diversify breakfast with fruits and nuts. The body needs magnesium for mood, and this, again, includes cereals, which contain all the mineral elements, and nuts. In terms of the combination of magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, almonds are in the first place. But this does not mean that nuts can be eaten in kilograms. It is enough to eat 5-10 pieces per reception (about 30 g).
It is very harmful to start your morning with a cup of coffee. Coffee lovers who start the morning with coffee and sip heavily throughout the day will drain their liver. And the impaired work of the liver and biliary tract primarily affects the mood and condition of the skin. In the morning, you can drink a cup of cocoa, chicory, any herbal tea, but on an empty stomach – always clean water. And coffee is best drunk at mid-morning snack (16-17 hours), when it is best absorbed. To keep the liver healthy (and liver health is a guarantee of beauty), you need to eat not only tasty, but also varied. Moreover, there are no prohibited products, you can eat everything, but in moderation. Meals should be fractional, in no case should you overeat and eat a large amount of food at one time. A fruit or a jar of baby food is a good snack.
