Rice burns
It is the rice that most often burns on the stove and sticks to the bottom of the dish. A big mistake when cooking rice is not observing the proportions of water and cereals, and this is not 2 to 1, as we used to think. The correct ratio of rice to water is 1 to 1,5. At the same time, in order to reduce the boiling time, it is better to pour rice with hot water. In this case, the chances of your rice sticking and burning are minimal.
Rice is undercooked
So that the water does not boil away quickly, rice should be cooked in a container, the lid of which is tightly closed and prevents moisture from evaporating. Cooking time for rice is 12 minutes, of which 3 minutes over high heat, 7 over medium and 2 over low. After that, turn off the rice and leave it to infuse for another 12 minutes. The lid must not be opened during all this time. If, nevertheless, your rice is not cooked, pour a small amount of boiling water over it and cook it.

Rice sticks together
The degree of stickiness of rice is determined by its type and variety. At the same time, the sticky porridge does not lose its taste, but it looks unpleasant. To prevent the rice from sticking together during cooking, it should not be constantly stirred. It is permissible to stir the rice once when boiling, otherwise it will constantly absorb water and disintegrate.
Some try to save the day and rinse the rice after cooking. Alas, this does not save the situation. But it is imperative to rinse the rice before cooking, rinsing off all excess starch until the water becomes transparent.
