Free medicines for children under 3 years old
The list of free drugs is approved at the beginning of the calendar year and is valid throughout the year.
Who is it for? Children of the first three years of life, as well as children from large families under the age of 6. The list does not depend on the family’s income level, whether or not the child has a chronic illness or disability status.

What medications are required?
The regions received the right to independently approve the list of drugs for those benefit recipients who are provided by the regional budget.
The list of free drugs in Moscow and the Moscow region includes, for example, drugs such as Nazivin, Nurofen, Lazolvan, Folic acid, Suprastin, Paracetamol. There are more than 200 items in total.
It is also important to understand that the doctor may indicate the active ingredient in the prescription, for example, paracetamol, and the pharmacy may issue it under a different trade name – “Eferalgan”.
Who subscribes?
Pediatrician at the clinic. You can get free medicines at any pharmacy that serves beneficiaries (in some regions there are such pharmacy kiosks at polyclinics: you can also find out the addresses of social pharmacies).
The Ministry of Health allocates a fixed amount of funds for each settlement to provide free medicines.
When this limit is exceeded, prescriptions for free drugs will cease. If they are not issued, and the medicines are available, you can write a complaint about misconduct to the Department of Health at the place of registration, the Ministry of Health, to your insurance company.
Gift set in the hospital
They are not yet available in all regions, and each set is different. In Moscow, upon discharge from the hospital, each mother is given a set of children’s accessories of 44 items or 20 thousand rubles. If the mother receives the gift, it is enough for her to show her passport with a mark of Moscow residence permit. If the dad receives the gift, he must present a passport with a mark of Moscow residence permit, as well as a document confirming paternity (a marriage certificate with the child’s mother or a child’s birth certificate, in which he is indicated by the father).
The branded box “I was born in the suburbs” contains 53 items. The total cost of the gift is 12 thousand rubles. To receive a set in the Moscow region, there are certain conditions, at least one of which must be met. First, one of the parents is a citizen of the Russian Federation. The second is that the birth certificate was issued by the registry office of the Moscow region.
Gift boxes include baby clothes for all seasons, including outerwear, bedding, grooming products, toddler toys and childcare tips. We didn’t forget about mothers, they put a cream for stretch marks, lactation inserts, a pillow for feeding into the box.

A doctor’s prescription is eligible for food assistance, which is issued once a month for the next month.

These are food packages that may vary in composition depending on the area. In the Moscow region, the dairy kitchen was replaced with monetary compensation. The amount of the payment is: pregnant women – 400 rubles, nursing mothers – 1000 rubles, children under one year old – 1000 thousand rubles, children from one to three years old – 600 rubles. The payment is provided to Russian citizens who have permanent residence in the Moscow region.

The amount of the payment depends on the parental pay in the region and is determined as a percentage of it:
For the first child – at least 20% of the parental fee.
For the second child – at least 50%.
For the third child and subsequent children – at least 70%.
One of the parents or legal representatives of the child is entitled to compensation. In some regions, only low-income or large families are eligible for payment.
How is the compensation paid?
Here, it also depends on the region: somewhere on a bank card, somewhere a receipt for payment comes, taking into account compensation.
The accrual takes place monthly in the current period for the previous one.
In some regions, there is compensation for a private kindergarten. But not from the entire amount, but from the average parental fee in the region. Here it is necessary to have a licensed permission to carry out educational activities in a private kindergarten.
