3 ways to germinate sprouts at home

Eating sprouted seeds is not only healthy, but also delicious. The sprouts are juicy and fresh in taste and can be added to salads, side dishes and smoothies. How to grow sprouts at home on your own?

Option 1. In a glass jar

Wash the seeds and put them in a jar, fill with water so that it is level above the seeds. Cover the jar with cheesecloth and leave the jar overnight. Drain the water in the morning and rinse the seeds throughout the day. Soak the seeds overnight.

All preparation takes 3 to 7 days, depending on the seeds selected. You can use it as soon as the sprouts appear.

Option 2. Germination of buckwheat

Buckwheat sprouts are very useful and they can diversify the preparation of salad. Place the seeds in a jar overnight, wash the seeds the next day, put them in a jar and cover with a towel – the jar should stand for several days. When sprouts appear, rinse the seeds with sprouts from the gelatinous substance that buckwheat secretes.

Option 3. Growing in soil

Buy potting soil and wood trays. Soak the seeds overnight, then drain the water and leave the sprouts for a couple of days in a jar under a towel, and then put them in the soil, sprinkling with earth. Rinse the sprouts before use.
