Recipe 1. Cabbage baked with butter
Due to the large amount of oil, it may seem that it is very high in calories and unhealthy. But in reality this is not so: firstly, the calorie content of this cabbage is about 130 kcal per 100 grams, and secondly, a lot of oil is melted and remains in the baking dish. It is not a shame to serve such an appetizer to the festive table. The cabbage turns out to be tender, aromatic and with an appetizing crispy crust. She will be quickly eaten and admired.
Ingredients:
- White cabbage – 500 gr.
- Butter – 80 gr.
- Provencal herbs – 1 tablespoon
- Dry garlic – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
How to cook cabbage baked with butter:
Cooking such cabbage is very simple, the main thing is to cut it correctly. Select a dense head of cabbage and cut it in such a way that a piece of the stump remains on each slice. You should get some kind of boats, nothing should fall apart and disintegrate. Now you need to mix room temperature butter with spices and dry garlic. So the spices will be more evenly distributed over the cabbage and it will be saturated with aromas. Now coat the cabbage “boats” with the resulting mixture. You need to smear not only the sides, but also between the leaves, as far as possible. Place the cabbage in a baking dish and bake at 180 degrees for 25 minutes. It will turn out to be very tasty and aromatic. If you do not want to use butter, then replace it with olive or sunflower oil, but with butter, of course, it tastes better.
