Fatigue, illness, dissatisfaction with ourselves and others sometimes literally take over our lives. Perhaps the point is not that we have run out of strength: we simply do not have access to an internal source of energy. How to get to it?
By the age of thirty, I began to have problems with sleep, everything was annoying, I was constantly sick. The pursuit of money and loneliness took away the rest of the energy. Psychologist’s consultations were enough for a short time, and then everything was repeated.
It was then that I began to engage in bodily practices. In the classroom, I got acquainted with my body and consciousness anew.
Taoist teachers believe that the ideal state occurs when there is “lightness in the body, emptiness in the head and joy in the heart.” I realized that this state can be reached by using 3 keys:
The first key is to the body. To make the body light, you need to perform any of these 6 exercises:
- Take the “monkey pose” (improvise!): shake, scream like her for one minute. This will quickly relieve stress and, oddly enough, will cheer you up.
- Let the body frolic. Roll on the floor. Be a starfish, a bun, an ostrich, a kangaroo. Follow the movements of the animals. It’s a great stress reliever. The body relaxes, followed by the head. It’s funny that after such “rides” a lot of new ideas come to the latter.
- Shake like an old washing machine in spin mode. Put your hands on the table, imagine that it is shaking – and you are with it. This is great for relaxing the pelvis.
- Beat yourself in the morning with your hands or an object all over your body. This is one of the oldest types of massage we know. Wakes up and charges for the whole day. The main thing – do not overdo it!
- Watch your breath. In difficult situations, do breathing exercises.
- Build faces and grimaces, show your tongue. It rejuvenates, relaxes the face, makes it beautiful, uplifting.
The second key is to the head. Try 3 exercises to free your head from repetitive thoughts:
- Meditation-“airing” helps to unload the head. Imagine that you have windows in your head, and mentally open them, as if you are ventilating your head.
- Try to concentrate… on nothing. To do this, you need to look at the point, this will darken, blur, scatter the picture before your eyes. So you can stop the endless internal dialogue.
- Switch input channels. They read something, and then they listened to something. We talked on the phone and the message was printed. They wrote down the thought – discussed it with another. It’s like gymnastics for the brain so that it doesn’t get stuck in one activity.
The third key is to the heart. 3 exercises will help you choose this key:
- Meditation for the heart. Imagine that the heart is ice that slowly melts and flows down, drop by drop, through the chest and pelvis to the very toes.
- Read: it helps to open the soul to new images and impressions.
- Constantly notice the positive in life and put virtual ticks or plus signs in the list of positive things.
What’s the result?
After three months of classes, the irritation goes away, it becomes easier to fall asleep and wake up. There are forces to work and create. We get:
- Light body. The back, arms, legs, joints, the whole body becomes more plastic. Lightness appears, excess weight disappears.
- Clear head. You have ideas, thoughts, and goals no longer seem so unattainable. Increased ability to focus on what matters.
- Joy in the heart. You learn to feel people, to understand, to hear when they want to tell you something. You start seeing the good.
The body is a smart system, and such practices help it relax, find energy inside and outside. The quality of life here and now, every second depends on how attentive you are to yourself.
