The LUCH gas boiler is a product of the Russian company Gazoapparat. Production facilities are located in Taganrog. The main difference is compactness and affordable cost. Designed for heating small areas – up to 180 square meters.
About Us
TAGANROG GAZOAPPARAT is a group of companies engaged in the production of gas equipment for over 20 years. It has a wide network of service centers in the Russian Federation and the CIS. It produces floor-standing boilers “LUCH”, including parapet boilers, with a closed combustion chamber. The company independently develops and introduces new models made using the latest innovative technologies.
Advantages of boilers “LUCH”
- Economical consumption of resources.
- 100% combustion of fuel in a sealed furnace.
- Bilateral arrangement of branch pipes — convenient connection.
- Minimum heat loss.
- Tubular heat exchanger, efficient and durable.
Boiler selection
Number of circuits
The first thing the consumer needs to choose is the number of circuits. If the house has centralized water supply or there is already a gas water heater, it is more profitable to buy a single-circuit device – it will only work for heating the house and is cheaper than a double-circuit one. The abbreviation for heaters with one circuit is KSG and AOGV.
If there is no hot water in the house, it is more expedient for you to take a double-circuit apparatus – AKGV or KSGV.
Power
When determining the thermal power of a gas heater, they proceed from the ratio – 1000 W per 10 m². But this is an approximate calculation, often you need to take power with a margin. Why? Arguments:
- Any equipment should not work to the limit of forces, it will wear out early. The best option is to load at 75-80% of the maximum power. After making the calculation according to the above formula, increase the resulting value by 30%.
- It is necessary to take into account the features of buildings – the material of the walls, how it is located, whether there is insulation and other points. So, for example, in corner apartments it is always colder than in central ones. It is recommended to use the following ratios: cold room – per 10 m² 1500–2000 W; insulated – per 10 m² 500–700 W.
For heating apartments, private houses, as well as buildings for economic, administrative and industrial purposes, heaters with a capacity of 8–20 kW are sufficient. They are able to heat areas of 60–80 m².
Dimensions and weight
Almost all modifications of the Taganrog manufacturer, except for the new KSG (S) – floor type. But the dimensions are modest:
- For models KSG (KSGV) 8, 10 and 12 kW – 64x34x44,8 cm. Weight – 33 kg.
- 16 and 20 kW – 69x40x51 cm. Weight – 50 kg.
- For parapets (10 / P and 12 / P) – 65x37x55 cm. Weight – 50 kg.
Such dimensions favorably distinguish LUCH heaters from many analogues and simplify their installation.
Fuel consumption and smoke extraction
Modifications of boilers “LUCH” have a number of differences:
- AOGV consume only natural gas.
- KSG can also operate on liquefied.
Consumption – 0,8–1,9 m³ / h.
Parapet models have a closed firebox. Natural gas consumption – 1–1,2 m³ / h. Such devices need a coaxial chimney. The parapet boiler does not “eat” the air from the room. This is beneficial, but not very convenient for city apartments, because the coaxial chimney must be led directly to the street, through the wall.
When choosing an option, the diameter of the chimney and the dimensions of the nozzles are also taken into account.
Power supply
The main problem faced by the owners of volatile devices, which are the majority today, is voltage drops in the mains. As a result, the equipment either works at maximum, or turns off. Sometimes, even stabilizers do not save.
If you have insurmountable problems with electrical networks, choose non-volatile versions – AOGV with SIT automation. Their coolant circulates in a natural way – due to the temperature difference, and there is no pump. Their ignition is not electronic, but piezo. The water temperature is measured by a thermocouple.
An important advantage of Taganrog boilers is the price. They are available to everyone. The cost of single-circuit starts from 6 rudders, double-circuit – from 600 rubles.
Automation in boilers “LUCH”
- The temperature is maintained automatically. The limit value is 95°C.
- In dangerous situations, the thrust sensor turns off the device and stops the flow of fuel.
- Flame tracking. If the fire goes out, the equipment is turned off.
Burner
Taganrog boilers are equipped with highly reliable gas burners. Fuel, before entering the burner, overcomes the mesh filter, dirt is filtered here, preventing them from entering the jets.
In non-volatile modifications, there are low-flame carpet burners, this is one of the most productive options. Such devices have an increased number of jets and a minimum diameter. This approach reduces energy costs and ensures uniform heating of the furnace and heat exchanger – increasing productivity.
What are the
Outdoor
“Gazoapparat” specializes in the production of floor heaters. They are reliable, structurally simple, easy to manage. They were designed under real domestic conditions. All the nuances were taken into account: the quality of water and gas, the pressure in the main gas pipelines and in the water pipes.
Taganrog products, unlike imported competitors, do not need additional adaptation. Can operate at low pressures. It is also possible to use in gas lines with high pressure, the built-in regulator helps.
All floor models are converted to liquefied fuel. The translation kit must be ordered from the factory.
A distinctive feature is an open firebox. Waste products of combustion are discharged in the traditional way, through chimneys. Therefore, their use is possible only where there is a special vertical chimney. The line is represented by modifications of the KSG / KSGV, which differ in automation:
- 8–20 kW – TGV307;
- 25–30 kW — MINISIT 710;
- 40–50 kW — NOVA 820.
Parapet
The line of parapet models KSG/KSGV is represented by compact heaters, the main distinguishing feature of which is a hermetic firebox. The air necessary for combustion is taken from the street, it enters the furnace through a coaxial chimney. The latter provides for the separation of air flows: fresh air is supplied through the external one, and combustion products are discharged through the internal one.
Due to their small size, parapet versions can be mounted in the tightest spaces. Any connection option is provided – on the right or on the left.
A device with an insulated combustion chamber has a compartment in which the burner is located. The air comes here only from the street, it is not taken from the room. It can be installed on any walls facing the street, there is no need for a traditional chimney. It is important to comply with the installation requirements. The instruction indicates what indents should be made from windows, floors, walls.
It is forbidden to bring the coaxial chimney to the entrance, to the loggia or balcony. The advantage of parapet versions is that there is no need to organize forced ventilation in the room where they are installed. Such boilers are allowed to be placed in very small rooms, for example in the kitchen.
Chimneys are supplied as a set and are also sold separately. It is forbidden to use home-made chimneys or from analogues. Small dimensions did not reduce the performance of the device at all, these modifications have an efficiency of 92%. This result is achieved, among other things, due to the special design of the heat exchanger. It has a tubular design and is made of heat resistant steel. To increase heat removal, it was equipped with vertical tubes.
New
KSG (S) is a lightweight, compact modification that can be installed on the floor or hung on the wall. It is a novelty in a model range of floor devices. It, having all the advantages of floor versions, has the capabilities characteristic of mounted analogues. This is a convenient option for small-sized housing.
The device is similar to all KSG: open firebox, traditional smoke removal, gas burner device (carpet type, low-flame) with TGV307 automation.
Lite version benefits:
- light weight;
- compactness;
- possibility of wall mounting;
- affordable cost.
Other design features:
- stylish design;
- possibility of conversion to liquefied gas;
- adjustment of the minimum fuel consumption mode;
- ensuring security with automation;
- piezo ignition;
- automation controls the temperature of the coolant and adjusts the power;
- simple operation;
- ease of connection to the heating system.
This inexpensive model has an adjustable gas regulator that allows it to work with high gas pressure in the lines (above the maximum allowable). The fuel pressure is reduced by the regulator, and only then the fuel is supplied to the burner. The same regulator controls the flow of natural gas. By setting the desired value at the input, the user controls fuel consumption and heating costs.
The back wall is equipped with hinges on which the heater can be hung on the wall. KSG (S) can be mounted close to the wall, while in traditional models you need to step back 8-10 cm. This saves space. Branch pipes are available on both sides, which simplifies the installation of equipment. Gas pipes can be brought to the left or right, as it is more convenient.
Disadvantages
- There is a danger of blowing in strong winds.
- Limited in heating area.
- A professional approach to connecting the chimney is required.

Reviews
KSGV-10: Vyacheslav O., Stavropol
Inexpensive is the main advantage. Has been working fine for 4 years. Not without problems, but all of them are solved without much hassle and investment. I do preventive maintenance according to the instructions, so there have been no global breakdowns yet. It happens that it pops when ignited, but I think it’s the gas, since the draft is normal.
KSG-20: Petr L., Privolzhsk
Worked for two years. Didn’t cause any trouble. Attracted by low cost, simplicity of design and the ability to buy spare parts. Quite economical, consumes gas economically, heats well. Our house is large, but insulated, so we managed with a minimum design capacity. Failed automation. GTV 603 stands here. When lighting the wick, you have to hold the gas supply valve – just let go, the flame goes out. I had to call the master from the service.
Gas heaters from Gazoapparat are compact and versatile – they can heat apartments, offices, and are also suitable for a private house. Parapet models are suitable for rooms in which it is possible to install a coaxial chimney.
