22 tips for cleaning your home

If you don’t want to spend the whole day cleaning your apartment, then use our tips. And you will see how much more enjoyable this process will become, and there will still be a lot of free time for yourself.

To prevent the trash from swallowing you, it is necessary to put a pretty trash bin in every room. And do not be afraid that you will bump into trash cans in every corner – you can entrust this role to a cute vase, an original box or basket where you can put unnecessary pieces of paper, apple cores and other junk, which is sometimes so lazy to bring to the kitchen … The main thing is just not to forget to empty the container in time, otherwise the meaning of the undertaking will be lost.

Each cleaning must begin with the arrangement of things in their places. To save time, you can take some kind of basin / container, throw everything unnecessary there and then walk around the apartment with it, laying everything on certain shelves along the way. Be sure that this will not only save you time, but also nerves, because you will not rush around the apartment with each specific thing, frantically trying to determine where to attach it.

In order not to clutter up the apartment and add work to yourself, it is necessary to unload as much as possible all horizontal surfaces (countertops, window sills, shelves, etc.). In addition, numerous souvenirs, vases and figurines that you inherited from your grandmother, and other trinkets create a feeling of chaos and make cleaning difficult. As a way out – hide everything in a closet or even remove it altogether.

This is the place where a person spends the most time, resting and getting ready for the new day. Therefore, the bedroom must be kept clean first.

To prevent the bedding from getting confused, store it in sets (carefully folding each one into its own pillowcase). By the way, doctors do not advise ironing the bed linen (the hygroscopicity of the material worsens), therefore, after washing, you can carefully hang the duvet covers and sheets, pulling them as much as possible, and after they dry (it is important not to dry out!), They must be folded and put away in closet. The laundry will smooth out under its own weight.

If you come across a spouse who throws his socks around the room or, like a thrifty chipmunk, twists them into one another, but then still leaves them out of place, approach this with humor. For example, buy a special box (container) without a lid in the store and allocate space for it in the room. In this case, your faithful can practice accuracy by throwing socks into a basketball basket. And he is interested, and you have less trouble – you just take the container with all the contents and send it to the washing machine. Imagine how much time you will save if you don’t find his “treasures” in all corners!

If you have any little things under your bed, get a special bedside box and put boxes of shoes and other seasonal items that you have dust under your bed there. In this case, during cleaning, you will not waste time pulling out all twenty boxes and packages, but carefully pull out one drawer and calmly wash the floor.

Those who have small children know how scary it is sometimes to open the door of the children’s room, because there will be not a creative mess, but a real chaos, which will then have to be fiddled with for a long time.

To cope with the “toy flow” and not to stumble over dolls / Lego blocks / cars and other children’s joys, just buy a container and store all the toys in one place. Of course, the shelves look beautiful, where dolls or cars are arranged in neat rows, but think how long this beauty will last when your child decides to play, and then changes his mind several times and leaves all his trinkets on the floor. Therefore, it is much safer to keep everything in one place. Tired of playing? They brushed everything into a drawer and put it in a closet. Delov something!

Another life hack that is useful for moms is that creative inventory is also conveniently stored in separate boxes / boxes. For example, get a few colorful boxes and put your drawing supplies in one, sculpting in the other, modeling or whatever your child is into. So you will know what is in each of the boxes, and get a specific one.

We think there is no need to say that not only cleanliness should be observed in this room, but practically sterility. After all, this affects both the cooking process and the health of the household.

So that dust does not accumulate on the uppermost cabinets (all housewives know how difficult it is to clean it out of there), you can cover the top with cling film or newspaper. If you have a gas stove and do not want to mess around with rubbing off grease from its surface, then you can simply cover it with foil and change it as it gets dirty. Yes, the method is not the most aesthetic, but you must agree – it’s better than standing and scrubbing the hated greasy streaks for hours.

Contrary to popular belief, the dishwasher does an excellent job and cleans kitchen utensils much better than we do. Therefore, if you still have not acquired this miracle of technology, then now is the time to think about it properly. After all, while the dishwasher is doing its job, you can do other things and do much more in a day. Well, if suddenly your assistant got clogged with grease from dirty dishes and began to “cheat”, then take out the kitchen utensils, pour a glass of potent fat-splitting agent on the bottom of the machine and start the longest program (at high temperature).

Get a dozen rags and sponges, because they cost a penny, but they perform many functions in the kitchen. For example, using a damp sponge (or adhesive tape) is very convenient to collect fragments of broken dishes from the floor (only the sponge must be thrown out immediately after that). The dish sponge, by the way, needs to be disinfected. Therefore, you can put it together with the cooking utensils and the dishwasher and start the program. It is also better to periodically wash cloths for wiping the table in the washing machine, because there is nothing more terrible than greasy greasy cloth, which is still taken in hand and collects crumbs from the table with it.

To cope with the hated plaque in an electric kettle or coffee maker, it is enough to pour a colorless soda (lemonade like a sprite, for example) on the bottom and leave for 30 minutes. Then you can simply clean with a cloth and rinse.

A bathroom sink can be easily whitened with dish-cleaning powder. It is softer than bathroom products, can be applied without gloves and takes a couple of minutes to clean the sink. If you carry out this procedure regularly, then a snow-white washbasin is provided for you.

An acrylic bathtub is also easy to clean with dishwashing detergent or cheap liquid soap (drip onto a sponge and calmly scrub the bottom and sides).

Faucets should be wiped with a dry soft cloth – this will prevent water stains and not waste time on additional polishing.

Dry shirts and blouses (as well as T-shirts, light dresses, jackets) immediately on a hanger – this will save time on ironing, because things will look almost perfect. The main trick is to take a clean item out of the washing machine, shake it vigorously and hang it neatly on a hanger.

If space permits, then put a laundry box in the bathroom, in which you can sort things by color. This will also help save time – for washing you will take a certain pile and not waste energy on sorting.

In order not to carry dirt around the rooms, in addition to a special rug, place a brush and a scoop next to it. If you suddenly bring dry dirt or sand, you can gently brush everything into a scoop (this advice is especially relevant for dog owners, because you don’t have to wash the floors near the door after each walk).

So that unpaid bills from the mailbox, temporarily unnecessary keys, small change that you take out of your pockets do not accumulate as a heavy load – put a special box in the hallway where you will put all this. Just make it a habit to disassemble the treasured drawer at least once a week, otherwise all this will either get lost or clutter up the space.

Also put hats, scarves, gloves, scarves and other accessories in a drawer and put away in a closet. Otherwise, they will be scattered throughout the hallway, and this does not look neat at all.

When it rains, wrap the doormat in a damp cloth – this way you can clean the soles and not be afraid that dirt will spread throughout the apartment.

Animal hair can be easily removed with a special laminate brush (with a large nap, similar to thick pasta). This “lazy woman” can walk around the corners and collect all unnecessary in five minutes.
