215 – that many items are on the list of drugs and medical devices that may be missing from pharmacies since July. Among them were, among others anticoagulants, medicines for asthma, high blood pressure and diabetes, and even formula for children.

New “anti-export” list of drugs. Valid from July 1

Every two months, the Ministry of Health publishes the so-called anti-export drug list. It is “a list of medicinal products, foodstuffs for particular nutritional uses and medical devices at risk of unavailability on the territory of the Republic of Poland”.

As “Puls Medycyny” reminds, the list includes drugs that are missing in 5 percent. pharmacies in a given province. Information on deficits is reported by voivodship pharmaceutical inspectors to the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspector, who then passes it on to the Minister of Health. Publication of the list of drugs is to reduce the problem of their uncontrolled export from Poland.

What medications may be lacking in pharmacies?

On June 27, another announcement by the Ministry of Health on this matter was published. This time, there were 215 items on the list, which may not be available in pharmacies from July 1. This is three more than the list effective from May 1.

The list includes, inter alia, antidiabetic drugs, anticoagulants, drugs used in the treatment of asthma or inflammatory bowel diseases. There are also bronchodilators used in the treatment of hypertension, heart failure, immunodeficiency syndromes, and pancreatic disorders.

  9. Eliquis, film-coated tablets
  10. Jardiance, film-coated tablets
  11. Kreon 25, gastro-resistant capsules
  12. Madopar, capsules and tablets for oral suspension
  13. Neocate junior to Neocate LCP, proszek
  14. Ozempic, solution for injection, in a pre-filled pen
  15. Ryzodeg, solution for injection
  16. Symbicort inhalation spray, suspension and Symbicort Turbuhaler inhalation powder
  17. Xeplion, prolonged release suspension for injection
  18.  Zypadhera, powder and solvent for prolonged release suspension for injection.
