1. Las Ventanas al Paraiso
Accommodation: Las Ventanas al Paraiso
Highlights: A stunning beachfront location with eight pools and six restaurants, as well as a legendary spa
It’s no doubt that Las Ventanas al Paraiso is one of the best luxury resorts in Mexico. A Rosewood Resort, this five-star beachfront palace is one of Los Cabos’ most revered. The design is much more traditional, as opposed to the sleek and modern designs that are en vogue today, but the service, quality, and setting continue to set this resort apart from the steep competition.
Rooms here are absolutely gorgeous. Even the lowest category room features dining and living space, as well as spacious bathrooms and kitchenettes. All suites feature butler service, soaking tubs, and walk-in showers.
The amenities are particularly noteworthy here, with eight pools and six dining venues. The resort’s Beach Pool is iconic, with its sleek infinity edge and spectacular views out to sea. The Spa at Las Ventanas is legendary, too. The spa menu here is influenced by the elements, as well as ancient healing traditions of the Baja peninsula.

Zadun is no different. The 115 rooms are all about the views of the spectacular sand dunes that undulate out to sea. Rooms are decorated with furniture and art made by local artisans, and all have terraces, plunge pools, and fire pits.
Set on 20 acres, the luxury resort has numerous pools peppered throughout the property, as well as four restaurants, and a vast stretch of beach – though because of its location, it is not safe for swimming.

The beachfront resort features 122 rooms, as well as a stretch of swimmable beach, which is rare for Pacific-facing resorts in Los Cabos. The design here is decidedly Los Cabos luxe, meaning low-rise buildings that reflect a desert color palette, with pops of blue that come from the resort’s various pools and, of course, its ocean view.
Rooms range from standard rooms to suites, all of which come with dining areas, Nespresso machines, and living areas, as well as balconies or terraces. The highest room category consists of the Casas, which are multi-bedroom houses that have private pools and butler service.
Features do not disappoint at this resort, either. Mezcal is the resort’s signature restaurant, serving up haute Mexican food with ocean views, while Marea is more for international all-day dining. A stunning spa is heralded for its hydrotherapy circuit, as well as its menu of luxe treatments.

Best Time to Visit Beach Resorts in Mexico
It’s difficult to find a bad time to visit beach resorts in Mexico. The country is absolutely massive, with many different landscapes, climates, and micro-climates. With two coasts — one on the Atlantic and one on the Pacific — the best time to visit Mexico varies by destination and time of year.
If you’re headed to a beach resort in Mexico, the best time to visit is during the months of November, December, January, February, and March. These are the driest months across the country, which means sunny and warm days and cooler nights. This is the peak season for beach destinations, so expect hotels to be more expensive and crowded.
Spring is a wonderful time to visit Mexico, as well. The months of April and May are still warm and dry, but the crowds thin out and hotel prices tend to come down. However, Spring Break is an incredibly busy time in many of Mexico’s beach destinations, so the weeks around Easter tend to have more crowds and higher prices.
Mexico’s beach destinations start to get hot and rainy in the summer months, starting from June and continuing through July, August, September, and October. All across the country, Mexico experiences a higher volume of rain during these months. Temperatures can be very hot and humid in the coastal regions, as well. Hurricane season in Mexico ends in early or mid-November.
