2 super washers: wash by photo and sim-sim open by knock

There are still four months before the annual IFA 2019 home appliances exhibition in Berlin, and some manufacturers have already managed to intrigue the public with their new products. Well-known companies Candy and Haier at the preliminary press conference for the exhibition told how they are going to surprise demanding customers.

It would seem, why does a washing machine need a photo depicting a large mountain of dirty laundry? Of course, it’s useless for a regular washing machine, but not for Candy RapidO with the Snap & Wash function. For this washing machine – the photo is the main source of information for further action. The Italians managed to “teach” their technique to use a snapshot of the laundry to select the washing mode. All the user needs to do is take a picture of things right on the floor or in the basket and send the photo to the device through a special application on the smartphone. The machine with artificial intelligence will scan the picture, after which it will determine the weight of the load, the type of clothes, the degree of soiling and select the desired washing program.

But the Chinese Haier DUO washer-dryer does not need any handles or levers, since the washer opens the door itself, at the first call of the owner, more precisely, by knocking on the hatch glass. But that’s not all of its functionality. The human height Haier DUO has two drums: the upper one is for washing clothes, and the lower one is for drying them. The main thing is that the machine can wash and dry at the same time. To do this, it has a heat pump, with which clothes are dried much faster and more efficiently. The manufacturer has released two models of Haier DUO, which differ only in loading: one holds 10 kg of laundry for washing and 7 kg for drying, the second – 13 and 10 kg, respectively.

It is expected that such novelties with cool chips will be the most popular among buyers. After all, according to research, consumers want to be surprised and are willing to pay for such innovations. It remains only to wait until September, and it will become clear whether the new washing machines will pass the “test” of demanding customers.
