PSYchology

«What time is it now?» How exactly would you answer such a question — «three forty-five» or «something like four»? The difference is that the first answer is given by «sensors», and the second by «intuitives» — these two types differ in the way they process information.

Already from the names it is clear that sensors value accurate data, while intuitives prefer inspired guesses. There are three more scales: extroverts-introverts, logicians-ethics, rationals-irrationals. By determining our place between these eight extremes, we can find out what type we belong to. What for? Based on this typology, Otto Kroeger and Janet Theusen, business and education consultants, promise us to discover the abilities that we do not yet use, find ways to resolve conflicts, and finally understand how others see us. By the way, if you are now thinking: “All classifications are nonsense”, then with a high probability you are of the extrovert-intuit-ethic-irrational type.
