All the city’s top resorts are located along Las Vegas Boulevard, the iconic Strip. From massive hotels with multiple pools and celebrity-chef-helmed restaurants to intimate boutique hotels-within-hotels with luxurious accommodations and personal service, guests can really personalize their resort experience.

Vegas visitors concerned about sustainability will want to stay at ARIA, the world’s largest hotel to have LEED Gold certification for its green practices. A lot of the best places to stay in Las Vegas cater to more grown-up guests, and families traveling with kids may prefer a non-gaming resort, like the luxurious and very family-friendly Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas. Couples looking for a romantic getaway may enjoy a smaller boutique hotel like the new Crockfords at CityCenter. Foodies may want to stay at the Nobu Hotel at Caesars Palace, where guests get priority seating at the popular Nobu restaurant.

Visitors should be aware that Vegas is a weekend town, and hotel room rates are drastically lower from Sunday through Thursday. Most of the top resorts are completely non-smoking, and several of the best resorts in Las Vegas are non-gaming, which means they do not have a casino (no gambling or slot machines).

The SKYLOFTS at MGM Grand are pricey, usually starting at around $1,000 per night (mid-week, off-season), but they consistently deliver the ultimate Vegas luxury hotel experience. Even though they’re a part of the massive MGM Grand resort, SKYLOFT guests get a more boutique hotel experience, with a private check-in area called the SKYLobby. The luxury accommodations also come with a dedicated concierge who attends to your every need as far as Vegas entertainment and dining.

Each two-level, loft-style unit comes with a butler, as well as luxury linens, a menu of different pillows, and twice-daily maid service. Bathrooms have Bvlgari bath amenities, an immersion steam shower, and an infinity-edge spa bathtub. Loft choices include 1,400-square-foot one-bedroom units, 3,000-square-foot two-bedroom units, and 6,000-square-foot three-bedroom lofts.

The units are very large, and since they have a sofa bed, can easily and comfortably accommodate four adults. The SKYLOFTS feel more like luxe apartments than hotel rooms. Like the SKYLOFTS at MGM Grand, the ARIA Sky Suites are a group of fantastic loft suites assembled together as their own hotel within a hotel at the ARIA resort.

Sky Suites guests get complimentary luxury airport transportation and arrive at their own entrance (not the main ARIA entrance). Check-in is done inside the Sky Suites Lounge, and the lounge serves complimentary food and beverages all day long.

The suites themselves are like spacious, stylish apartments. The one-bedroom suites are about 1,000 square feet with a separate bedroom, dining area, and really nice living room area. They are a great place to stay for entertaining, as they have a powder room for guests. The bathrooms are like mini spas, with huge, freestanding air-bath whirlpool soaking tubs and granite double-sink vanity areas. You also get multiple TVs (bathroom, bedroom, and living room) and full tablet control of all room functions and guest connectivity with the hotel.

Aside from the luxurious accommodations, Sky Suites guests get preferred reservations for dining, shows, and spa treatments. When you want to spend some time outside, there is the exclusive Sky Pool, just for your use.

3. Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas

This top luxury resort hotel is five floors (35-39) of the Mandalay Bay resort property, one of the first examples of the now-popular “hotel within a hotel” concept.

The special thing about the Four Seasons is that it is its own private little world. It has its own private entrance, lobby, and distinct space, so you can visit the hotel without ever having to step inside Mandalay Bay. You can dine at their restaurant, Veranda, or enjoy their award-winning spa, swim in the beautiful pool, again all without ever leaving the Four Seasons.

The fact that it’s self-contained is important because the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas is a non-smoking, non-gaming serene oasis. The AAA five-diamond resort is right across from the new Allegiant Stadium (home of the Raiders NFL team) and offers some of their rooms and suites as stadium-view. If you visit on game day (or for a big concert), the hotel concierge can make arrangements for you to attend the game in style and watch from a luxury box.

Basic rooms at the Four Seasons look out towards the mountains, and premium rooms have dramatic Strip views and sitting areas with sofa beds. The style is modern luxury, with velvet seating surfaces and some mirrored furniture pieces. Bathrooms in the rooms are quite basic compared to the marble, spa-like spaces you find in newer Vegas luxury resorts. Suites have marble bathrooms with a more luxurious feel.

4. Wynn Las Vegas

When the 215-acre Wynn resort opened in 2005, it ushered in a new era of ultra-luxury, taking over from the Bellagio as the city’s main large luxury resort option.

While many competitors have risen since its opening, the Wynn continues to provide an extremely luxurious, highly rated experience, even for those staying in its most basic Wynn Resort rooms. Even these least expensive rooms get a beautiful marble bathroom with a soaking tub, separate shower, and separate lavatory room.

You also get extra touches like plush terry bathrobes and slippers and a second TV in the bathroom. The rooms have a 55-inch 4K UHD TV with full connectivity, along with touch-screen lighting, privacy, maid, and curtain controls. Yes, you can open and close the drapes with a button next to the bed.

Within the Wynn hotel, the Tower Suites are the hotel’s club-level accommodations. An upgrade is worth considering, as you get a separate check-in area and separate elevators, something that is essential if you’re visiting on a busy holiday or weekend. Tower Suite guests also have their own separate pool, which is less crowded than the main Wynn pool.

The Wynn is a Vegas foodie favorite, with 10 different fine-dining options and 11 casual dining spots, all on-property. A highlight is Wing Lei, the first Chinese restaurant in the US to receive a Michelin star.

5. Encore at Wynn Las Vegas

The Encore is the sister luxury resort to the Wynn and was built adjacent to the Wynn tower. It’s newer, the rooms are a bit bigger, and the rates are slightly higher. The basic rooms, called Encore Resort rooms, are about 745 square feet and are more like junior suites. They have separate sitting areas with sectional couches and spectacular views through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Rooms look out on the Strip, the Encore pool, or downtown Las Vegas with panoramic Strip views on higher floors going for a premium.

Hotel rooms at the Encore have a 55-inch 4K UHD TV mounted on a swivel, so you can watch it from the seating area or the bed. The design is a Euro-Asian mix, with a lot of light woods and black accent materials. Marble bathrooms are very large with dual sinks, oversized soaking tubs, separate rain showers, and a water closet (the toilet is in its own little room) with a phone.

Encore Tower Suites get you much more space, as well as a separate building entrance and check-in area. There is also a separate Encore Tower Suites pool. Encore Tower Suites also come with a daily breakfast credit, so you can enjoy room service or breakfast at one of the Encore restaurants every morning. Tower Suite guests get complimentary valet parking, something which is not offered to Vegas visitors at all resorts, as it used to be.

Encore at Wynn Las Vegas guests share the extensive array of over 20 fine and casual dining options with Wynn guests.

6. Vdara Hotel & Spa at ARIA Las Vegas

The all-suite, very dog-friendly Vdara Hotel & Spa is part of the CityCenter development. It’s a 57-story condo-hotel, and some of the units are private residences (and some of those are then used as hotel room inventory). This means the hotel rooms all have at least kitchenettes (larger suites have full kitchens), are larger than standard hotel rooms, and have a more residential feel.

Basic Studio Suites are 582 square feet and are offered in a few different configurations and with different views; the best ones have a view of the Bellagio fountains. They all have sitting areas with queen-sized sofa beds, so they accommodate four adults. Bathrooms are luxurious, with a separate walk-in shower and spa-style soaking tub. Stay Well Premier units are available with all kinds of holistic and healthy amenities, like the use of special non-toxic cleaning products, an air purifier in the rooms, and vitamin-infusing/water filtering showerheads. You can go bigger with one- or two-bedroom penthouses or two-level lofts.

Guest connectivity in all the Vdara accommodations includes a tablet for all interactions, including room service, spa appointments, and folio info. There’s also a digital media hub and a 50-inch LCD TV.

Owners of big dogs should note the hotel accepts a single dog up to 100 pounds (or two dogs with a combined weight of 100 pounds). There is a fee of $150 per night per dog ($200 per night for suites).

7. Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas

The Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas opened in late 2018, taking over what was the Mandarin Oriental in the CityCenter development. The non-gaming resort is a 47-story-tall skyscraper that is a combination of a hotel and residences. There are only 392 rooms and suites, which in Vegas qualifies as a boutique hotel. That room count means you get a less crowded experience, even on busy holiday weekends, and you get more personal attention from the highly trained Waldorf Astoria staff.

Rooms and suites are fantastically luxurious, with floor-to-ceiling windows delivering either Strip or city views. Bathrooms here are very cool, as they are encased in frosted glass, flooding them with natural light. They also have deep, freestanding ultra-modern soaking tubs with separate shower spaces.

Floors and walls are marble, and the overall feel is like being at a five-star spa. A bit more so than other Vegas luxury hotels, the fit and finish at the Waldorf Astoria seems to be exceptionally high-end, especially in the guest rooms.

If you want to leave for some retail therapy, just walk over the skybridge to The Shops at Crystals, which has 50 of the world’s best luxury brands. There is also a Starbucks and a Mastro’s steakhouse in the mall if you get hungry for steak or thirsty for coffee.

On-property, the Waldorf has its own restaurant, which is only open weekends, as well as a grab-and-go café and a very nice poolside café. Of course, you always have in-room dining, which is available 24 hours.

The Waldorf serves its legendary English afternoon tea service at the sophisticated Tea Lounge each afternoon. It’s a fun thing to do in Vegas (children are welcome), as the lounge is on the 23rd floor and has dramatic views over the Strip.

8. The Palazzo at The Venetian

The all-suite Palazzo is the companion tower to the Venetian and is the tallest building in Nevada. That means those suites have some spectacular views of Las Vegas. The Palazzo is also the largest building in the United States, in terms of floor space. All that translates into the largest basic suites in the city at 720 square feet.

Suites at the Palazzo have a modern Italian design. Even those basic suites, available with a pillow-topped king or two pillow-topped queen beds, have a residential feel. Most have a step-down living room area with a sectional couch and a second 49-inch TV. There is also a big, 55-inch TV in the bedroom area and a smaller 22-inch LCD TV in the bathroom. The marble bathrooms are nice and large, with a Roman soaking tub and a separate, glassed-in shower. They have double vanities and other luxe amenities like make-up mirrors and a phone in the water closet.

Premier and Grand Suites get you even more space, more amenities, and access to the Premier Club Lounge, which includes private check-in.

The Palazzo has its own pool deck (with cabanas) and several pools including a Lounge Pool. This is like a kiddie pool for adults with only a foot of water. For massages and beauty and skin treatments, Palazzo guests can access the Canyon Ranch Spa at the Venetian. When you get hungry, there are over 40 different dining experiences to choose from at the resort.

9. Bellagio Las Vegas

When it opened in 1998, the Bellagio was the first property on the strip to offer a world-class, five-star luxury hotel experience. From the food to the service to the accommodations, the pet-friendly resort continues to rank consistently as one of the top resorts in Las Vegas.

Rooms and suites at the Bellagio have a modern yet classic style with some bold colors. Remodeled rooms are available in the hotel’s tower and cost more than standard rooms, but offer upgraded features and amenities. The bathrooms are the highlight of the newly remodeled rooms. They use a lot of natural stones in addition to marble and have a huge, doorless shower (no more bathtubs). Original rooms, like the basic Resort King, have lavish marble bathrooms with huge Italian marble soaking tubs and glass-enclosed showers. Of course, a dizzying array of suites and penthouse suites are available.

Stay Well healthy rooms and suites give you an air purifier, an infusing and water purifying showerhead, organic carpets, and the use of non-toxic cleaning products to clean your room. For all types of accommodations, premiums are placed on any room that has a view of the beautiful lake and its famous fountains. Upgrade to VIP Lounge access for $100 per night. The lounge has a breakfast buffet, concierge services, and private check-in. Add on luxury round-trip airport transportation for $50 more per night. The VIP Lounge upgrade is only available for certain room times, and the airport transportation upgrade is only available to suite guests.

When you get hungry, start at the Bellagio’s legendary buffet, still considered to be the best buffet in the city. Beyond the buffet, you have 13 different fine and really good dining options, including Le Cirque, considered the best French restaurant in the country. For fun, there is a large spa and five different pool environments to choose from.

10. ARIA Resort

This massive AAA five-diamond resort is also part of the CityCenter development located between the Bellagio and the Monte Carlo. There are two ARIA towers with just over 4,000 rooms and suites. All these rooms and suites boast floor-to-ceiling windows with mountain or dramatic Strip views. ARIA guests get plush terry robes, a 42-inch TV with full connectivity, and a 10-inch tablet for all guest interactions (room service, spa bookings, restaurant reservations, etc.). The tablet also has lighting, curtain, and HVAC controls.

Like at the Wynn, Tower Suites at the ARIA are their more luxurious, club-level accommodations. Aside from the upgraded features and amenities, you get a private entrance and private lobby and check-in area. Stay Well Premier rooms are available for a healthier stay.

The ARIA is more sustainable than other Vegas resorts; it’s the largest hotel in the world to achieve LEED Gold certification for its energy efficiency. The curtains automatically close, the power turns off, and the HVAC system shuts down when you leave the room. Even the hotel’s limos use CNG instead of gasoline.

For fun there is an 80,000-square-foot spa with every kind of treatment, therapy, and service you could imagine. There are at least 13 different dining options at ARIA, shared with the Vdara resort. A highlight is Din Tai Fung, the upstart Michelin-star-rated Hong Kong dim sum stand (now an international restaurant chain).

11. The Venetian Resort

The all-suite resort still delivers one of the best Vegas hotel experiences, with large (the smallest are 650 square feet) accommodations that have appropriately huge bathrooms with big Roman soaking tubs and private water closets with a phone. Most of the rooms are on two levels, with a sleeping area and then a step down to a sunken living area. You get two 46-inch LCD TVs – one in the bedroom area, one in the living area – and a third 19-inch TV in the bathroom.

Prestige Suites are the Venetian’s club-level rooms with a private lounge. Grand Suites get you Prestige access but with an even bigger space, a marble entry with double doors, and the option for a full one-bedroom suite. The Prestige Club Lounge access is worth the splurge; it includes a daily continental breakfast and private check-in, something essential on busy weekends and holidays.

The public spaces at the Venetian, especially the Colonnade Lobby, feel like an Italian Renaissance palace, with different colors of marble; statues; and hand-painted frescoes, ceilings, and murals. The resort includes the Grand Canal Shoppes mall and, of course, its iconic Venetian canals. You can hire a gondolier to paddle you around the resort while they sing beautiful Italian opera to you and your special someone. It’s a must-do Vegas attraction (a great thing to do with kids) and costs about $34 per person ($39 on weekends) for a 20-minute ride.

There is a large Canyon Ranch Spa at the Venetian, and aside from massages and skin treatments, the spa is home to a 40-foot rock-climbing wall. Like other Las Vegas mega-resorts, Venetian resort guests have access to a seemingly endless array of dining options, from fine dining to street food. The Venetian offers guests complimentary valet or self-parking.

12. Nobu Hotel at Caesars Palace

The Nobu Hotel allows you to live in the celebrity sushi world of Chef Nobu Matsuhisa (and co-owner Robert DeNiro). The hotel is in its own tower and is part of the Caesars Palace resort.

This top Las Vegas boutique hotel, which has reasonable mid-week, mid-range prices, has a unique-for-Vegas Japanese design in the public spaces and the hotel rooms. The hotel rooms have Japanese-inspired, mostly-marble bathrooms with large bowl sinks, doorless showers, and wooden Japanese bathhouse-like pieces. The rooms have full connectivity and 55-inch LCD TVs if you want to stay in your room and watch anime. Suites and a massive two-level penthouse are also available.

A big perk here is that Nobu Hotel guests receive priority seating at the extremely popular Nobu Restaurant located on-site. That reason alone makes it a very popular place to stay in Las Vegas for foodies. Since it’s at Caesars Palace, you can walk to the dozens of dining options at the resort. You also have access to the spa, seven pools, and other amenities at Caesars.

13. Crockfords Las Vegas, LXR Hotels & Resorts at Resorts World

Accommodation: Crockfords Las Vegas, LXR Hotels and Resorts at Resorts World

With 236 rooms and suites, Crockfords Las Vegas is a new (2021) luxury boutique hotel that’s in the massive Resorts World development. Part of LXR Hotels, which is part of Hilton, the rooms, suites, villas, and palaces have a very luxurious, ultra-modern style. Even the basic rooms have great views, free Wi-Fi, and spa-like bathrooms. Guests have access to the largest pool complex on the Strip with seven different pools, each with a different vibe.

The Crockfords’ Villas offer a private pool and garden for the two-bedroom villas on the ground level, or amazing Strip views and an outdoor terrace in the four-bedroom villas located on the hotel’s 65th (top) floor. Three- and four-bedroom 7,000-square-foot Palaces are located on the ground level and are mini-mansions with their own pool and butler. If you book these lavish accommodations mid-week and split the cost among multiple friends, the per-person price might surprise you as to how affordable it is.

There are three Hilton properties in one tower of the Resorts World complex, and Crockfords shares the hotel dining options with Conrad and the Hilton. You also have dozens more restaurants that are part of the Resorts World development.

14. Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World

Accommodation: Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World

Also part of the new (opened in 2021) Resorts World mega-development, Conrad is a lesser-known luxury hotel brand. Named for Hilton founder Conrad Hilton, Conrad Hotels is a Hilton luxury brand, one level under Waldorf Astoria. You get very luxurious accommodations, with warm, professional service at a lower price than more well-known luxury hotel brands.

Rooms and suites at the Conrad Las Vegas have a modern, corporate luxury style, which is not a bad thing. They come with either city or Strip views seen through floor-to-ceiling windows. Premium rooms get you upgraded amenities like a 65-inch TV, a mini fridge you can use (it’s not filled with minibar selections), and bedside lighting controls.

There are multiple dining options (Mexican, sushi, teppanyaki, Cantonese, or Italian) at the Conrad and dozens more at Resorts World within easy walking distance. A highlight is Famous Foods, a Singapore-inspired hawker food hall with authentic street food available from stalls run by top chefs and restaurateurs.
