What else are toothpicks, felt pads for furniture legs, rubber bands and ordinary stickers for: a note to the hostess.
Felt pads for furniture legs
Protect jerseys from stretching. Glue a felt circle on the edge of each hanger. This will help you avoid “bubbles” around the shoulders of your favorite sweater.
Secure the cutting board. Glue a soft mug under each corner of the board. The cutting board will not slide on the table while you are cutting raw sausage or meat on it.
Protect glossy surfaces from scratches. Before placing the ceramic vase on a lacquered wood or glass top, glue a protective circle to the bottom of the vase.
Close doors silently. To avoid hearing the constant slamming of the kitchen door, glue felt circles either on both outer corners of the door or on the corners of the door frame.
Protect the walls. Frames of photographs or paintings can leave scratches on the wallpaper – to prevent this from happening, glue felt circles on the corners of the frame.
Clean the keyboard. Use the sticky edge to collect dust and debris between the keys.
Mini navigator. If you are traveling by car to a new place (without a navigator), write the address and detailed directions on a sheet of sticker – and glue it on the steering wheel or dashboard so that it is in front of your eyes.
Label containers. Cut off the sticky part of the sticker and use it as a label for any containers, jars, bottles, and vials that you might be in doubt about.
Decorate the room. With the help of multi-colored stickers, you can put any image on the walls. For example, a Christmas tree in the office on the occasion of the New Year.
Open the jar effortlessly. If the lid does not want to open, wrap it tightly several times with an elastic band. This will allow you to grip it more tightly.
Decorate Easter eggs. If you are not yet practicing this method, take a note: you need to wrap a hard-boiled egg with an elastic band and dip it in the paint. After the egg is dry, remove the gum – spectacular white stripes will remain in its place.
Decorate glasses for a children’s party. Slip colored rubber bands over glass cups. The result will be a fun decor, and at the same time the likelihood that the glass will not slip out of children’s hands will increase.
Wrap the gift. Use colored rubber bands for festive packaging instead of a tape – a completely original author’s technique (especially if you cannot find the tape in any way).
Toothpicks
Glue the beads. By applying glue to the sharp edge of a toothpick, you can gently glue all sorts of small parts and objects – an indispensable item for home art.
Sew on the button. Place a toothpick between the button and the fabric, so that later, after pulling out the toothpick and wrapping the resulting loop-leg with thread, it will be easier to fasten the skirt.
Label the patties. Using multi-colored toothpicks, mark where you have meat pies, where with cabbage, and where with jam. Guests will be grateful.
