15 Maria Montessori principles for happy children!
Maria Montessori has developed a method based on the possibility for the child to evolve and do things freely, at his own pace. “Each child is unique”, she said in her books. His method is one of the first to consider the child as an individual based on “sensory education” using specialized and sensory teaching material. Parents who wish to offer their children a benevolent education inspired by Montessori precepts can very easily follow certain recommendations in their daily life. In fact, Maria Montessori has listed, in the course of her practice, in various works, many principles in favor of the development of children. Here are 15, very easy to follow and which will make children happy!
1- Children learn from what surrounds them. Parents are therefore their best role model.
2- If the parents criticize their child, the first thing he will learn to do is judge.
3- If, on the contrary, parents regularly compliment their toddler, he will learn to value.
4- If the parents show hostility to their child, he will learn to fight and to argue.
5- If the parents ridicule their child in the usual way, he will be a shy person.
6- If your child grows up feeling sure of himself, he can learn to trust others.
7- If you frequently despise your child, he will develop a negative feeling of guilt.
8- If you show your child that his ideas and opinions are always accepted, he will feel good.
9- If your child evolves in an atmosphere where he feels protected, integrated and loved, he will learn to find love in the world.
10 Don’t talk badly about your child. Neither in his presence, nor even in his absence.
11- As a parent, value its good points so that there is never room for the bad again.
12 Always listen to your child and respond to them each time they ask you a question or make a comment.
13 Always respect your childt, even in the times when he makes mistakes. Support him. He will fix his mistakes sooner or later.
14- If your child is looking for something, you must be willing to help him, just as you can allow him to find out on his own what he’s looking for.
15- When you talk to your child, give him the best of you.
