Experienced cleaners know how to save their time and effort when tidying up. And the result will not get worse from this, but on the contrary.
Order by order
In fact, planning is necessary even in such seemingly disorganized business as general cleaning. For the process to be efficient, you need your own algorithm: in a circle and from top to bottom. This means that we clean the room, moving sequentially from one room to another, we put things in order around the perimeter in the room, we wipe the vertical furniture from top to bottom, horizontal surfaces – from one side to the other, without jumping to other areas. After wiping the shelves and window sills from dust, we proceed to vacuuming, and after that I wash the floors. This is the order.
Soak and neutralize
Before starting cleaning, fill dirty dishes with water, plumbing – with a special detergent. While you are dealing with another area of work, the cups and plates will get wet, the ceramics will be bleached, you just need to thoroughly rinse everything with water. Time saved. Another life hack: if you put the grates from the oven in a bag, add ammonia and let it sit for a while, then dirt and scale from the metal surface will move away and the grate will not have to be washed for a long time.
I carry everything with me
Of course, you do not need to have a trolley with inventory, as in hotels, at home, but it is much more convenient to put things in order when all cleaning tools are nearby, for example, in a plastic container. Then you don’t have to be distracted by looking for gloves, rags, brushes or gels for cleaning plumbing.
Choosing the right tools
The stores offer a wide range of household chemicals. Unfortunately, there is no universal remedy. But buying bottles in boxes is also not worth it. In the house for cleaning, there should be liquid for washing dishes, detergent for windows and mirrors, floors, cleaning bathrooms and bathtubs, wax for polish. To remove white traces of water on the faucet and tiles in the bathroom, it also does not hurt, it is more convenient to use a spray bottle.
We take rags of different colors
For example, for wet cleaning from dust – gray, for dry cleaning – green, for rubbing a polished surface – blue, and for glasses and mirrors – orange. This will prevent dirt from transferring from one place to another.
Stocking up with melamine sponges
Another penny tool that helps to clean almost any surface without home chemicals. You just need to slightly wet the sponge and wipe the dirty area. Suitable for cleaning plumbing fixtures, cabinet furniture made of wood or MDF, window sills, doors, stoves, hoods and microwaves.
Clean ceramic slabs with a scraper
A scraper is a mechanical device with a wide blade that is inexpensive and very good at cleaning tough marks from burnt milk or fat on the stove. It does not leave scratches, even removes old scale from the surface. The plate must first be filled with a dirt remover.
Lemon for a dirty microwave
Citric acid, or lemon slices, or soda, dissolved in water, makes it easy to wash even the oldest dirt in the microwave and oven. The container with the solution must be placed inside and boiled for several minutes, and then wiped with a rag. If the surface is difficult to clean, then boil again and leave in a closed oven for a couple of minutes. The steam will soften the dirt and can be easily removed.
Use a toothbrush
A used old brush with coarse bristles is a “secret” life hack for housewives. Using the brush, you can reach the corners and clean the joints on the ceramic tiles in the kitchen and bathroom. Simple and convenient inventory.
Sly dust
Housewives know how quickly, after cleaning, small particles settle on the furniture again. Or try dusting off with a cloth dampened with window cleaner. The fact is that this liquid has an antistatic effect and repels dust particles, so a clean surface will last longer.
Vinegar instead of chemistry
White deposits or water droplets on the tap will be removed more quickly with a solution of ordinary vinegar and water. The acid dissolves the chalky precipitate. Just remember to wear rubber gloves to protect your hands. By the way, the same effect is achieved thanks to the use of citric acid – a 20-gram package of lemon must be poured with a glass of hot water, and this solution will perfectly remove scale in the kettle, white stains on the tap.
We smear the walls with mayonnaise
Hard to believe, but another tricky secret from cleaners is how to remove sticky marks from stickers on the refrigerator or tiles. You need to spread this place with mayonnaise and let it soak. And then remove with a wet cloth.
Let’s hit the dirt with a microfiber
You need to choose special rags for cleaning, fleecy, synthetic, terry fabrics will not work. They attract dust even more. You need microfiber (you can buy it) or cotton stretch fabric.
We refresh the room
Life situations are different. And if you need to clean a heavily littered or non-residential premises in which an unpleasant odor is felt, then a light solution of potassium permanganate will cope with the problem – you need to carry out wet cleaning by wiping all surfaces. In addition to the smell, potassium permanganate also disinfects the room.
Whiten no problem
After the repair, white stains remain on the floor. Dilute the water with vinegar in proportions of 2 tablespoons per liter of water and wipe the surface once or twice. Then wash it clean using a special floor cleaner.
