- Map of Resorts in Virginia Beach, VA
Whether you’re packing up the car and driving the entire family to the beach or looking to take a romantic vacation, Virginia Beach features plenty of resorts for all styles and budgets of travelers. Located where the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean meet, Virginia Beach features a long swathe of golden sand fronting the sea.
It is backed by the three-mile-long Virginia Beach Boardwalk. Known as the Oceanfront district, this is by far the most popular area to stay, whether you are a luxury or value-seeking traveler, and many of the resorts are located either on the boardwalk or around it. But while it is the most popular, it is not the only place to sleep in the Virginia Beach environs.
More resorts are found around the Chesapeake Bay portion of town, and there are also options in the downtown district, known as the Town Center. These other districts are excellent choices if you want to escape the crowds around the boardwalk in summer.

The property is also known for its excellent dining at two restaurants: Swan Terrace Grill and The Commonwealth. Both serve gourmet, fresh fare that is locally sourced with seasonal ingredients. Swan Terrace does good steaks, while The Commonwealth is known for its made-to-order burgers and flatbreads.
