On August 2, the Moscow Half Marathon took place – the main Russian race at a distance of 21,1 km. About 13 runners started this year.
The event was held within the framework of the All-Russian project ZaBeg.RF. At 9:00 Moscow time, participants from different cities of the country simultaneously went to the start of the half marathon.
Participants had access to two distances to choose from – 21,1 km or 5 km. The route of the main distance was laid in one circle along the central embankments of the city. The runners got picturesque views of the Crimean Bridge, the skyscraper on Kotelnicheskaya embankment, St. Basil’s Cathedral, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and the Kremlin.
Director of the Moscow Half Marathon Dmitry Tarasov thanked the Department of Sports of the city of Moscow and personally its head Alexei Kondarantsev: “I want to say thank you for your help in organizing the race. We always know that we have serious support in the person of the Department, which not only helps us to conduct events, but also actively participates in them, involving its leaders and employees. “
The strongest athletes of the country came to the start of the race. Rinas Akhmadeev became the absolute winner of the Moscow Half Marathon. He ran 21,1 km in 1 hour, 04 minutes, 24 seconds. The second place was taken by Iskander Yadgarov, who covered the distance in 1 hour, 04 minutes, 37 seconds. Nikolay Chavkin came third to the finish line. Its result is 1 hour. 04 min, 40 sec. The fourth and fifth places among men were taken by Stepan Kiselev and Dmitry Safronov. Stepan came to the finish line, showing the time of 1 hour, 05 minutes, 11 seconds. Dmitry ran the distance in 1 hour, 05 minutes, 57 seconds.
Elena Korobkina became the fastest participant in the 21,1 km race among girls. She set a track record with a score of 1 hour, 10 minutes, 29 seconds. The second place went to Irina Sergeeva, her result – 1 hour, 12 minutes, 00 seconds. The third was Tatiana Arkhipova, who covered 21,1 km in 1 hour, 12 minutes, 25 seconds. The fourth place was taken by Luiza Dmitrieva. Its time is 1 hour, 12 minutes, 28 seconds. Fifth place went to Alina Prokopyeva. Its result is 1 hour, 13 minutes, 18 seconds.
The winners in the 5 km distance were Anton Tishakin among men and Svetlana Aplachkina among women. Their results were 14 minutes, 54 seconds and 16 minutes, 30 seconds, respectively.
The prize fund for the winners and prize-winners was over 1 million rubles. At the finish line, all participants of the race received medals in an updated design, and the winners and prize-winners – cash prizes and gifts from the partners of the event.
Thousands of fans could follow the intensity of the wrestling without leaving their homes. On the page of the Running community on the VKontakte social network, a live broadcast of the competition was organized.
