1. slimming starts in the head
You should mature to lose weight, you should always be aware of it, a well-thought-out decision. Let’s not go on an impulse diet, at the urging of a friend – the weaker the motivation, the greater the risk of failure. If we will have the right approach to diet, and the motivation will be strong it even minor stumbles will not stop us from reaching our goal.
2. The rate of weight loss will not always be the same
The diet takes into account the caloric deficit to which it corresponds specific pace of weight loss. However, this is just a theoretical pace then how the body reacts is a very individual matter. Usually it’s like that in the beginning, body weight decreases much faster than assumed, because v in the first period, the body gets rid of accumulated water. Only later fat tissue is burned, which is a more difficult process for the body – then the weight loss rate becomes slower.
3. You should weigh yourself once a week, at the same time of the day, on the same device
Body weight can fluctuate and differences can arise either on the same day as well as between individual days. It depends on the amount of food consumed, on fluids, on the regularity of bowel movements, on fluctuations hormonal. Therefore, daily measurements make no sense, they can only cause unnecessary stress. It’s best to weigh yourself once during the week, in the morning, on an empty stomach, after using the toilet. It is not without significance also measuring equipment – it should always be the same weight, because the devices may be calibrated differently.
4. Skipping meals will not help you lose weight
It is a myth that the less you eat, the faster you get lose weight. Of course, at first, the effects may be satisfactory, but following a diet with too little energy supply for a long time can lead to slow down the metabolic rate. This will only make it difficult to lose weight, and in addition the body will not get all the nutrients in the optimal amount. Not only will we not lose weight, but we will still be malnourished qualitatively.
5. Just following a diet will not help
In addition to following the diet, you must also adhere to general principles of rational nutrition, e.g. keep an eye on regular mealtimes whether to drink the recommended amount of fluids. Only then can you count on success.
6. Stagnation is to be expected
The body is not a machine that can be programmed to be continuous weight loss. Stagnation may appear during weight loss. These are difficult moments and a lot of people give up then (according to the rule that “if not you can see the effects, why bother ”). Meanwhile, continued adherence to recommendations, perseverance and patience make the body come back on after a while proper track and further weight loss are possible.
7. Sometimes your weight may not go down, but it may fluctuate individual body circumferences
This situation often occurs with people who regularly they exercise. Especially if they are strength exercises aimed at weight gain muscle. As muscles are heavier than fat, your weight may not decrease despite being on a slimming diet. In this case, however, alone the figure should become slimmer, so it is worth additional control body circumferences, e.g. waist, thighs, hips. You can read more about this in in the article by Damian Jefremienko “Check how to measure yourself”.
8. Earlier diets may influence the present outcomes
The use of diets in the past, especially those with too little supply calories, improperly balanced, may contribute to the lack of current effects diets. In this case, the metabolism can be significantly slowed down and the first thing you should focus on is turning it up.
9. Disorders such as constipation or flatulence
This is a common situation when they appear after switching to a diet bloating and constipation. This is how the body manifests that it does not like them introduced changes, so far received something different and has already got used to it. Usually, however, these are temporary problems and after a few days it all comes back to standards.
10. No diet works in reserve
It is worth treating the diet not as a momentary spurt towards the better figure, but as a permanent change in eating habits. No diet works in stock, even one that will be perfectly balanced. If, after its completion, we return to our previous eating habits, unfortunately, the lost kilos will come back. Of course, the point is not to last for life be on a slimming diet. After achieving the goal, the calorific value is as high as possible should be increased, but we should still follow the principles of rationality nutrition. If we are not ready for such a change, it is better to wait with the diet – alternating weight loss and weight gain can do a lot of damage (eg. upset metabolism).
11. There is no supplement that can replace the diet
No preparation will do the job for us. Despite the fact that the market offers a variety of products that are purported to help you lose weight however, no supplement will make us lose weight if we do not change eating habits. In turn, the best dietary supplement is none preparation, only regular physical activity.
12. Not everyone can follow a slimming diet
Finally, the weight loss diet is not for everyone. It is best to check with your doctor before starting it and make sure that the state of the body allows you to follow a diet with a caloric deficit. You will definitely pause pregnant and breastfeeding women and children should adapt to such a diet.
