It is also home to four ski resorts within a 30-minute drive of downtown. Aspen Mountain, which is located right in town, is famous for its steep slopes and après-ski scene in the resort at its base.

Amenities are plentiful at this property. The open floor plan lounge area is the central hangout spot. Aspen and neighboring Snowmass resorts are four-season destinations. The best time to visit will be determined by the type of activities you are visiting for.

If you want to come to the Colorado Rocky Mountain town for its world-renowned skiing and snowboarding, then you’ll want to visit during the winter ski season, which runs from November to April each year. December, January, and February are some of the coldest months to visit, but also see large storms that bring in lots of fresh powder to ride.

Temperatures rise in March and April, which can still see massive snow dumps, and these are the ideal months for spring skiing. Although the snow might be slushy near the base, you don’t have to worry about bundling up as much, and the days are longer.

If skiing isn’t your thing, summer and fall are still excellent times to visit Aspen. There is plenty to do regarding hiking, mountain biking, and other outdoor activities. Temperatures are pleasant, in the 70s and 80s during the day, and skies are usually sunny and blue. Fall sees cooler weather and you get a fiery foliage display.
