1. Sandals Negril
Accommodation: Sandals Negril
One of the original resorts on Seven Mile Beach, Sandals Negril has one of the best spots of coastline, propped on a swath of bleached sand overlooking the jewel-colored water. The all-inclusive resort is adults-only and one of the most environmentally friendly, touting the EarthCheck Double Platinum Certification.
While on the property, adults can enjoy the seven restaurants, snorkeling, paddleboards, kayaks, beach sports, PADI scuba diving, and daytime and nighttime entertainment. Additional inclusions are unlimited land sports, a fitness center, and free Wi-Fi and round-trip airport transfers.
Rooms range from standard rooms to deluxe swim-up suites (with butler service included). Each room has a furnished terrace with either a garden or ocean view. Ask about upgrades, as the higher category rooms have whirlpool tubs, and some even have private pools.
Seven restaurants are available, including a casual pizzeria, and some dinner-only options that require reservations. Three pools are on the property, though you’ll want to take advantage of that prime beachfront access.
True to the Sandals brand, there is a Red Lane Spa, which includes a fitness center and a menu of treatments, as well as hydrotherapy facilities.

2. Beaches Negril Resort & Spa
Accommodation: Beaches Negril Resort & Spa
Families won’t lack for things to do at this family-friendly all-inclusive resort in Negril. Beaches Negril Resort and Spa is a bustling property, packed with activities, like a water park, kids’ club, teens’ nightclub, and special events like breakfast with Sesame Street characters.
The entire resort is perched on Negril’s powder-soft Seven Mile Beach, meaning it offers a wide variety of water sports, including scuba diving, all for free. Additional activities include a spa, a variety of restaurants, three swimming pools, and three whirlpools.
Rooms range from standards, which can accommodate three or four people, to the sprawling three-bedroom suites, which can sleep up to 12 guests. For something extra special, there are the Concierge Suites, which include additional privileges like a dedicated concierge. The Butler Suites come with on-call private butlers.
Perhaps the favorite part of the resort for families is the Pirates Island Outdoor Water Park, which spans 1,800 square feet and has everything from a lazy river to water slides and a plunge pool.

4. The Caves
Accommodation: The Caves
Rastafarian in roots, The Caves Jamaica was designed by a Rastafarian couple, Bertram and Greer-Ann Saulter. The result is a hand-carved, artistic hideaway that is Jamaican to the core. Through the gate, visitors are plunged right into nature in a spectacular setting. The resort is perched on a dramatic cliff, built atop a series of magnificent grottoes (hence its name, The Caves).
Understated and elegant, there are 12 private cottages and suites. Shabby-chic and bohemian in style, the suites are splashed with vibrant colors and artsy accents like batik bedding. All rooms have sitting areas, as well. Ask about which rooms offer bathtubs.
Outside the rooms, the hotel works with the natural environment to help set the romantic tone. For example, tables are built of limestone, and chairs are carved into the dining caves underneath the cliff. Breakfast and lunch are served under an open-air palapa.
While there is no beach, there are stairs that tumble down the cliffside and offer direct access to the turquoise-colored water below. Other features include a saltwater pool and hot tub, as well as a small spa that offers massages.
Address: Light House Road P.O. Box 3113, Negril, Jamaica

Choose from rooms, suites, and garden cottages at this boutique hotel. They feature island charm and cater to families and couples alike. Some cottages have full kitchens and balconies with hammocks facing the sea.
Guests can borrow snorkeling gear but just note, the ocean here can be rough. There is a small saltwater swimming pool overlooking the water and a larger pool in the garden area. The Jamaican restaurant serves meals all day long. Massage services can be arranged. Guests can also book activities from diving to fishing and windsurfing.

6. Azul Beach Resort Negril by Karisma
Accommodation: Azul Beach Resort Negril by Karisma
An expansion in 2017 breathed new life into the luxury Azul Beach Resort Negril, with additional rooms and restaurants. The resort was already a fan favorite for the area, with one of the most beautiful beachfronts in Negril, right on Seven Mile Beach.
The 285 rooms are bright and airy, with pops of color and a funky design. Each has a furnished terrace, and some are even swim-up suites. A white color palette sets the tone for bursts of bright color accents. The ground floor rooms are swim-up suites, which empty out to the lazy river pool.
Four pools create different vibes around the property, including a kids’ pool. The sugar-colored beach is strewn with blue lounge chairs or elegant canopied Bali-style beds. Restaurants abound and offer different cuisines, from Caribbean and Italian to casual beach fare and Thai.
Come evening, there’s a schedule of live entertainment and music. For kids there are daily activities. Other included activities include yoga and cooking classes.
The relaxing spa sprawls more than 9,400 square feet, with nine treatment rooms. Kids can even get their own treatments with the Perfectly Pink Spa kids’ menu.
Address: Norman Manley Blvd, Negril, Jamaica
7. Royalton Negril
Accommodation: Royalton Negril
The Royalton Negril is actually a triple threat for travelers, offering three very distinct vibes at three resorts within a resort. Recently opened in 2017, the resort has 407 rooms spread across three different spaces: family-friendly Royalton, adults-only Hideaway, and clothing-optional Grand Lido Negril Au Naturel All-Suite Resort.
While not on Seven Mile Beach, the resort’s location on Bloody Bay still offers a lovely beach experience – just don’t go in expecting the same “wow factor” as Seven Mile. Diamond Club members have access to a private section of the beach, as well as a private ocean-view pool.
Rooms are elegant and modern, and all have ocean views with terraces. Some rooms are swim-up suites, as well.
The Royal Spa is replete with a hydrotherapy circuit and has a menu of massage and body treatments. A fitness center always gets rave reviews, as well. For families, there is a kids’ and teens club, as well as tons of kid-friendly activities.
For dining, all the restaurants are included, from Japanese-style food to Italian food, a steakhouse, and Caribbean cuisine. The only restaurant not included is the fine-dining C/X Culinary Experience Chef’s Table, which is completely worth the splurge.

8. Hotel Riu Palace Tropical Bay

Hotel Riu Palace Tropical Bay is a beautiful, sprawling all-inclusive resort overlooking the sun-bleached shores of Seven Mile Beach in Negril. The family-friendly resort has more than 400 rooms, plenty of activities, and an upscale vibe.
Built in 2001, the resort underwent renovations in 2015 and 2018, which included a redesigned pool area, new bedrooms, and a facelift for other parts of the hotel.
All rooms at Hotel Riu Palace Tropical Bay feature a balcony or terrace, as well as 24-hour room service included as part of the all-inclusive plan. The best rooms to book here are the Suites with a sea view. These rooms are 47 square meters and have a king-size bed, a sofa in the lounge area, and beautiful views out over the turquoise Caribbean Sea.

Dining options abound, from Italian and Japanese cuisine to Jamaican beachfront barbecue.
Address: Norman Manley Blvd, Negril, Jamaica
9. Sunset at the Palms Resort
Accommodation: Sunset at the Palms Resort
What’s so fun about Sunset at the Palms is that it’s the perfect beachside treehouse escape, but entirely for adults. The adults-only, all-inclusive Negril resort is beloved for its laid-back, casual vibe. It is important to note, however, that while this resort is in Negril, it is across the road from the beach, but a beachfront club and grill allow guests to camp out by the ocean all day.
While it may not be direct beachfront property, the manicured grounds are truly stunning, thick with vegetation and peppered with palm trees. The 85 treehouse bungalows evoke an Asian aesthetic, with natural wooden floors; pitched ceilings; and rich, vibrant accents. Each room has its own patio, as well.
Sunset at the Palms is very low-key, but guests will find a lovely pool with a hot tub. A small spa is on hand, as is a tennis court. There is no nightly or daytime entertainment, but guests who stay here are looking to disconnect and embrace the quiet.
Dining options include a buffet-style, all-day restaurant, as well as several a la carte restaurants and a beach grill.
Address: Norman Manley Blvd, Negril, Jamaica
10. Samsara Cliff Resort
Accommodation: Samsara Cliff Resort
Samsara Cliffs Resort sits perched on a series of small bluffs overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The cliffside oasis offers a unique location, where rocky outposts are met with thick foliage, giving a jungle-meets-sea experience that is truly beautiful.
Views abound at this property, with water vistas practically everywhere you turn, from the pools to the spa hut to the bi-level open-air restaurant.
The resort has 52 rooms, all with outdoor spaces, and many with beautiful ocean views. There are also cottages, but some of these are located across the street from the main resort. Four Pillar Houses are also available, each with outdoor showers and sweeping balconies.
The resort does not have a dedicated beach, but guests can plunge directly into the sea from the rocky ledges. The cliffs have platforms with sun loungers, as well. Two pools are available, as well as an open-air massage hut.
Address: West End Road, Negril, Jamaica
11. Merrils Beach Resort III
Accommodation: Merrils Beach Resort III
Merrils Beach Resort III is a great all-inclusive resort in Negril, especially for travelers on a budget. But the low price tag doesn’t sacrifice gorgeous views, as this 52-room resort is perched right on the famous Seven Mile Beach.
The modest resort includes two restaurants and a garden, as well as evening entertainment and water sports. A sun terrace is great for lounging, while a ping pong table and a pool table are perfect for rainy days.
Rooms are fairly basic, with not a ton of perks. But what you’re paying for here is really the prime access to the beach, which is frequently ranked one of the best in the Caribbean.
While other resorts on this stretch of beach can charge a considerable premium, Merrils Beach Resort III gives you the same views, and an all-inclusive package, at a fraction of the price.
