The love story of a young girl and a vampire, described in Stephenie Meyer’s book “Twilight”, in 2005 made a splash.

Already in the first week, a circulation of 100 copies was sold out in the United States alone, providing the novel with bestseller status.

The film adaptation of such a successful work was a matter of time and did not take long to wait: already in 2008, the first part of the “Twilight” saga was released.

The film version of the relationship between Isabella Swan and Edward Cullen turned out to be even more successful than the book original: on a budget of only $37 million, the film grossed nearly $400 million.

The number of his fans (mostly fans) is completely immeasurable. Such popularity helped not only the creators who earned a lot of money, but also the actors, providing them with recognition and fame.

10 Cam Gigande

The performer of the role of the nomadic vampire James, even before Twilight, was known for his leading role in the youth sports drama Never Back Down, in which he played the main antagonist. The on-screen struggle with the Cullen family did not bring him special dividends: the directors did not line up in front of him.

After 2008, he continued acting, but he was not seen in major projects, although Burlesque with Christina Aguilera, Eric Dane and Cher, as well as Shepherd with his participation, are worthy of attention.

9. Peter Facinelli

The actor began his career in 1995, but received his first notable role only 13 years later. As you might guess, we are talking about the role of Carlisle Cullen in the vampire saga.

His character was one of the least “pissing off” for many viewers, but he didn’t have a career breakthrough either.

Facinelli generally has a rather complicated relationship with the cinema, but in the series he is not bad, especially the role of Dr. Fitch Cooper, nicknamed “Doctor Kup” in the television series “Sister Jackie” stands out.

8. Jackson Rathbone

Rathbone, like the two previous actors, peaked in Twilight. Neither before nor since has he landed a role that can match the popularity of Jasper Hale living with the Cullens.

However, he is only 34 years old, so he still has plenty of time to realize himself in a big movie. In addition, he is also involved in music, being a member of the 100 Monkeys group.

7. Sarah Clarke

Due to the fact that the main characters of “Twilight” were Bella, Edward and his family, not everyone will immediately remember the heroine of Sarah Clarke.

And her role, by the way, was quite important – she played the mother of Isabella. This work is Sarah’s greatest success in the cinema, but even before the release of the vampire saga, she became famous on TV. The role of Nina Myers in the Fox project “24” earned her the “Satellite” award in 2003.

6. Rachelle Lefebvre

When the Canadian actress was cast as the vampire Victoria in Twilight, she specifically watched YouTube videos of lion habits in order to look authentic in the frame.

Redheaded like fire and dangerous as death itself, she perfectly got used to the role. Unfortunately, in the sequel, she was replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard, who, although she played well, most fans liked Rachelle more.

Now Lefebvre, who turned 40 in the winter, is filmed mainly on TV. She was especially successful in her role in the CBS series Under the Dome, based on the novel by Stephen King.

5. Ashley Greene

The role of Alice Cullen was the third in her career for young Ashley Greene (previously she starred only in episodes). Her character, although not the main one, still had enough screen time. She also appeared in all sequels, practically not working on other projects.

Now only 32, Ashley is young and attractive enough to land many more big roles.

4. Anna Kendrick

Apart from the leading roles, Anna Kendrick is the most famous and successful on our list. After Twilight, she managed to build a successful career, and considering that she is only 33, this is probably not her peak yet.

In 2009, she starred in the film Up in the Sky, for which she received an Oscar nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category. This was followed by the commercially successful Pitch Perfect and two sequels.

3. Taylor lotner

After the release of the first part, the female half of the fans were divided into two camps: some considered the main handsome Edward Cullen, and the second – Jacob Black. The debate on this score was very heated, as the fanatics of both guys did not want to admit defeat.

However, there was also a third group, not so big, whose members believed that both heroes were equally good.

If the beauty of actors and the coolness of their characters is a subjective concept, then their success can be assessed quite objectively.

Taylor Lautner has not yet become a star, and has remained a muscular werewolf from the friend zone, without playing any more notable roles.

2. Robert Pattison

Pattinson began his acting career as a child, making his debut on the stage at the age of 15. He came to cinema in 2004, having received a minor role in the film “Ring of the Nibelungen”.

A year later, he signed a contract for the role of Cedric Diggory in the film “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”, and two years later it was announced that he was approved in “Twilight”. The success that fell on him after the premiere is difficult to describe.

Nevertheless, millions of fans and huge fees brought him not only joy: until now, Robert is struggling to realize himself outside the image of a glamorous vampire.

He repeatedly stated that he did not like this role of his, because he wanted to be remembered for something more significant.

1. Kristen Stewart

Despite the fact that Kristen Stewart is criticized by many for her “wooden” acting and unchanging facial expression, in 2010 the BAFTA committee presented her with an award in the Rising Star nomination.

In 2012, Forbes magazine named her the highest paid actress, but after the completion of the saga, her fees decreased significantly.

As for the current state of affairs, Sewart will appear in the Charlie’s Angels reboot in the fall.
