10 traits of strong people

There are difficult times in every person’s life. But some difficulties unsettle, while others only make them stronger. Ten differences of people who are strong in spirit.

We envy, but do not think about why they can withstand a difficult situation, but we can not. In fact, anyone can become strong if they behave differently. Strong people:

1. They communicate to exchange ideas, not to convince someone of something.

They express ideas, justify their expediency, but at the same time they do not press or defend themselves. They communicate freely and openly with others, are good listeners, and value the wisdom and advice of others.

2. Seek advice and support

Strong people are self-confident, they are aware of their weaknesses. They realize that in some situations it is better to seek support from more skilled, experienced or educated friends and colleagues. They believe that asking for help is not a shame.

3. Adequately perceive reality

They notice obstacles in their path, but don’t focus on them for too long because they understand that difficulties are a necessary condition for moving forward. They assess the situation taking into account different possibilities and see the future in any situation.

4. Live in the present

They are aware that the past cannot be changed. The strong learn from the mistakes of the past and move forward rather than spending hours regretting and thinking about what could have been done yesterday or a year ago.

5. Work hard

They know that nothing happens by itself, they are ready to work on both their careers and relationships. They are envied, but envious people cannot imagine how much effort has been invested in projects and difficulties have been overcome on the way to the goal.

6. They are grateful people

They understand that their happiness and success depend not only on themselves. Without the participation and support of other people, a business project will not be truly successful. A family cannot be strong only thanks to one of the partners. Such people appreciate those who help them, know how to express gratitude and often do it.

7. Can handle big problems

Whether it’s the death of a loved one, a divorce, or the loss of a business, they don’t let the event become part of themselves. In other words, they separate themselves from the sad event, but recognize that it has become part of their life. And they know that life goes on, despite all the hardships. This attitude makes them stronger.

8. They know how to endure pain

They don’t try to avoid problems. They have the courage to be fully present at the moment when they are hurt, offended or unpleasant. They take this pain as an important lesson, do not try to apply anesthesia or escape from the crisis, for example, with the help of alcohol. And this does not mean that they are insensitive. They are aware of pain, but do not identify with it.

9. They are not afraid of defeat

They do not consider that failure in business, a deuce in an exam, or a girl’s refusal to date is an indicator of their own insolvency. They do not stop trying to achieve something after the first failure.

10. Patient

They know that in some circumstances they need to give up comfort and pleasure and show patience and perseverance, they worry about failures, but do not react to them impulsively. Strong people know that big goals require a lot of patience.
