Sun, beach, fried fish, ice cream and waffle kiosks. The very thought overwhelms us with a blissful feeling. However, if we lose weight all year round, we would like to maintain the effects worked out in the sweat of our brow. How to keep the golden mean? Below are 10 tips on how to cut the caloric content of summer delicacies.

1. Choose oven-baked fish instead of deep-fried dough or batter.

First of all, it saves a lot of calories. Frying is one of the most harmful methods of food processing, which I wrote about in an article revealing the truth about this type of thermal processing. Besides, we can never be sure how old the oil used to fry coastal fish is.

2. Let go of the fries.

Fried fish fries are not the best choice – 100 g is about 330 kcal. It will be much better if you ask for rice – 100 g of cooked rice is less than 100 kcal.

3. Ask for a waffle with half a serving of whipped cream.

It does not matter whether it will be real cream or a product made of aerosol – the less it is, the better for the calorific value of the diet. Ask for as little cream as possible to keep the fruit on the waffle 🙂

4. Let go of juices, drink water.

In hot weather, the recommended 30 ml of fluid for every kilogram of body weight is not enough. We need even more hydration. If you bet on juices, you can get even more calories in drinks than in food. Drink water and eat fruit instead of juice.

5. Choose yoghurt ice cream or sorbets.

Give up the heavy cream ice cream. You can eat enough cream on vacation, e.g. with a waffle. Look for yoghurt-based ice cream or natural low-sugar sorbets.

6. Avoid cotton candy far away.

It is nothing but ordinary sugar. And the colorful, beautiful-looking balls are due to artificial food colors added to sugar. So what if they’re approved for use in food, if the possible side effects make you dizzy.

7. Be careful with sweet drinks.

Sweet colorful drinks with a palm tree are delicious, but very high in calories. Try to at least minimize their amount. In terms of calories, you will be much better off drinking beer with a little raspberry juice.

8. Prepare the barbecue wisely.

Skip the fatty sausages, bacon and pork neck. Prepare well-marinated chicken breast, chicken drumsticks, fish and vegetables. They are tasty, and at the same time much less fat and caloric.

9. Find your way to dietary snacks.

If you like to nibble on something while resting, prepare nuts, seeds and vegetable chips. Forget about crisps and salty snacks, because they can be extremely caloric, and it is also difficult to break away from them

10. Move!

Even if you eat a little more (after all, holidays have their own rules), don’t let the extra calories go to the bacon! Instead of lying on a blanket for hours, walk, swim, play football. You probably don’t have time for this every day, so combine business with pleasure and start moving.
