Indeed, when a close family member suffers from migraine attacks, the likelihood of suffering such attacks increases.
Additionally, in a 2013 study published in Science Translational Medicine (1), researchers at the University of California have identified a genetic mutation associated with migraines.
More recently, the results of the largest genetic study ever (based on the DNA of 375 people) on migraine (000), published in Nature Genetics, reveal that 38 genomic regions are associated with migraine.
