10 participants of the competition Mrs. Crystal Crown 2017 in Yekaterinburg: photos, details

On April 1, the Mrs. Crystal Crown competition will take place in Yekaterinburg. Woman`s Day asked the participants a question: what shortcomings did they manage to cope with? Choose Mrs. Crystal Crown by Woman`s Day!

Tatiana Kraskova, 33 years old, marketer:

– I consider bad habits to be disadvantages, and everything else is our individuality. I was just lucky – there were no bad habits and no. To understand yourself, to know your real self, and on the other hand, to understand other people, to accept their individuality – that’s what really fascinates me now. This is partly why I am taking part in the competition.

It was my old dream to participate in the competition, but I was able to resolve it only now. It is about inner permission, about dignity. Am I worthy to go on stage, am I worthy of the attention of unfamiliar women and men? Once inside it seemed to “click”, and I made up my mind.

I have a fear of evaluation, aka a fear of failure. When a child is brought up, comparing him with others (and this is how most parents are brought up, this is how the school evaluation system works), he enrolls in the subcortex. What will I do with him? I realize it, I will understand that I am not alone in it and I will allow others to think about me whatever they want. And come what may!

I also have to learn self-presentation – I do not own it. And I don’t know what it’s like to go on stage, pose for photographers, present yourself beautifully, dress up. In ordinary life, I am always in a hurry somewhere, hair – in a ponytail, sports style of clothing, and ran from morning to evening with the children in circles and sections, shops, walking in the fresh air, breakfast-lunch-dinner, dishes, washing- ironing-cleaning …

Oh yes, I still have to learn how to spend time on myself, this will be completely unusual!

Alena Bogatyreva, 36 years old, HR specialist:

– My shortcomings are independence and lightning speed in making a decision, without thinking about the details. Affected by hyperactivity and childish moodiness. There is a problem – there is a solution. But I have matured, learned to listen to people and delve into the processes, details, little things, and not only see the solution and the result (results) of the tasks.

Now she began to delve into the details so much that she fell in love with photographing little things. I also like to carefully choose my wardrobe. I do make-up, cooking, behavioral psychology and history.

Julia Krapivina, 27 years old, engineer:

– Perhaps, I managed to overcome stiffness and excessive shyness. Before, I was embarrassed to talk to people, to call again. I had communication problems. Now there is no such thing. I can communicate quite freely, even on stage I feel calm, I do not panic.

If earlier I could have complexes due to some physical disabilities, now I love and accept myself for who I am, without forgetting to improve. My favorite Stephen Covey handbook, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, helped – I learned a lot from it. Literally every line can be taken for quotes and applied in life.

Ekaterina Nikolaeva, 29 years old, flight attendant:

– My professional employment is impossible without air travel, and according to statistics, more than 80% of people are afraid not only to fly, but simply to be at a height. I was from that majority. It turned out to be easy to overcome fear! It took only the professional skills of the pilots, a friendly attitude in the crew and the immense beauty of our nature, which you can look at endlessly and at any time of the year.

I managed to cope with another phobia: I was always afraid to be under water, defenseless. All because of an accident on a fast flowing river. Feeling like a part of the sea was difficult for me both physically and mentally. Friends and experienced scuba diving staff in the Mediterranean helped me to end this phobia.

The main thing is not a person’s shortcomings, but his attitude towards them. Therefore, I believe that everyone is able to transform them into their own merits.

Anna Abakumova, 30 years old, interior designer:

– It’s always difficult to talk about your shortcomings, but it is the victory over yourself that allows you to be stronger. I can say that my disadvantage is excessive responsiveness. This is not bad, but before I did not understand how you can manage this, and ill-wishers or just lazy people could use it to their advantage. Now I am friendly and open, but I have gained experience and the ability to analyze, this helps me to say “no” in some situations. This flaw taught me how to make choices.

In my profession, I spend a lot of time talking with people, and listening is very important in the work of a designer. It used to be difficult for me. My attitude towards life is always positive, my profession is creative, which is probably why I cannot paint the world only black or white, because even these colors have various shades of gray, and they are beautiful! So my shortcomings are the ability to take a palette and create positive traits and qualities in myself.

Lyudmila Tolstykh, 54 years old, chief accountant:

– I did not know how to speak in public – there was a fear of performances. Even at the funeral of my own father, I could not give a speech … This was the starting point of my changes! It was bad for me that I could not see my father on his last journey.

I decided to fight myself. Therefore, I signed up for a public speaking course, which helped me a lot. The next step was mass events: sports competitions, intellectual contests, the game of “Mafia” – I appear wherever it was necessary to speak and present myself.

Now, in the company of friends, I say a lot more. But I am not completely satisfied with the result, so I decided to participate in the Mrs. Crystal Crown contest.

Maria Abramova, 33, stylist:

– I am a perfectionist, and I always considered it my disadvantage! The pursuit of excellence was more like a disease until I met people who are happy and content with their lives. These were sincere people living with a sense of their own need. Simply put, they had the courage to be imperfect. They could give up the idea of what they should be.

It turned out that imperfection is not weakness. It is emotional risk, insecurity, unpredictability, and it energizes our lives every day. Reflecting on this topic, I came to the conclusion that the ability to hide flaws and be honest is the most accurate tool for measuring courage. Courage to be imperfect.

Natalia Osipova, 45 years old, beautician and spa master:

– I have always had a fear of change. But a year ago, due to the crisis, I was laid off, and my life changed. I didn’t know what to do. But she got ready and began to solve the housing issue. A suitable option was in the village. And all my life I lived in the city, and I could not imagine rural life. However, I had to move.

During the year that I have been living here, there have been so many changes for the better, which would have taken five years earlier. My child and I began to go to the pool, because he is within walking distance, he made new friends. We walk, breathe fresh air, use clean water. We communicate with open people.

I also changed my work profile a little. Everything is going the way I want. The new home is my place of realization.

As soon as we moved, I wanted to further improve the place in which we live, to build my own “paradise”. Therefore, I began to engage in social activities for the development of small villages. New roads are open before me. Now I know that it is necessary to overcome my fears!

Marina Vlasova, 31 years old, an athlete in the “FitModel” category:

– Just a year ago, I was at the peak of my career – I worked as the commercial director of a chain of grocery stores. And everything was great for me, but I lacked emotion. It was around this time that I gave up preparing for the motocross competition and decided to choose a safer, but no less energetic hobby. And changes began in my life.

In order to forget dangerous sports, I went to the fitness championship in March last year. And already in September she performed in Surgut in the fitness bikini category, where she got into the top 6. Then there was bronze in Omsk in the category “Fit-model” and the title “Miss Sport – 2016” in the competition “Mrs. Crystal Crown of Siberia Omsk”. I quit my job and after 2,5 months I opened my own beauty studio “Monroe”. Now I am in a party, I am fond of surfing and snowboarding, preparing for a fitness competition. But the color of emotions that the participants of beauty contests can experience is incomparable with anything!

Elizaveta Ageicheva, 23 years old, assistant manager at the bank:

– Before, I considered unnecessary worries to be my disadvantage. Most often, they were wrapped artificially and caused negative emotions. For example, I was offered to get additional education at the evening department in the marketing and logistics direction. I have always been interested in this area. There was little time to think, but I was very worried about how I could combine work and study.

These were unnecessary worries. I found strength in myself, became more focused and streamlined my life. In the end, everything turned out in the best possible way! I perfectly defended 2 diplomas, received a bachelor’s degree in international relations and became a specialist in the field of marketing and logistics management.

So the decision came to change negative experiences into positive ones. And this decision was the reason for me to get additional education, do fitness, look more positively at myself and around me.
