1. Dune, 1984
The film is based on a novel by Frank Herbert. The plot bears resemblance to the 2021 film. This is the same story about the desert planet Arrakis and the mysterious melange that everyone dreams of owning.
Unlike today’s film, “Dune” 1984 was expected to fail at the box office. Director David Lynch took the plot of the novel too freely. This fact greatly disappointed the writer’s fans, who at that time were more than enough. Those who have not read the book have no idea what it is about.
The film adaptation is considered not very successful, but some viewers liked it. Memorable style, colorful characters, visual effects – everything is not so bad, maybe you will like this film too.
