There can be many compelling reasons why it is worth visiting Africa, and Matisse (1869-1954), Renoir (1841-1919), Klee (1879-1940), who were looking for something special there, were well aware of them. If you try to make an ideal route for a person of art, then there will be several mandatory places, including Africa. Usually artists come here to start all over again – the spirit of the new is reflected in their canvases.
Well, what attracts ordinary people to Africa? No artists, no writers, but those who work in ordinary jobs? Sooner or later, everyone wants to get out of their usual world and see, learn something new – Africa is great for this! What are the sights of Abu Simbel, Karnak, Giza … And the national parks? In Zambia there is a very spectacular park where large animals live: rhinos, hippos, elephants and others.
If you are attracted and captivated by Africa, the article will be of interest to you. We will tell you about the most beautiful African countries – it is impossible not to be enchanted!
10 Cameroon
Cameroon No wonder it is called the heart of Africa. This is a fairly large country, comparable in area to California. Tourists praise this country: they say that the grass is greener here, and the food is tastier, and the sun sets somehow in a special way …
In terms of tourism, the north is the most interesting: there are beautiful landscapes, unique nature and interesting peoples. In the north there are people in the Ujle region, women there prefer nudity. You can admire the Cape Mountains forever … They are the oldest on the continent. The entire south of Cameroon is impenetrable forests, so it’s hardly worth coming here, it’s better to immediately head north.
9. Botswana
Having been to Booting, many tourists admit that they left with great reluctance – they were so struck by this country! There are all amenities for tourists: excellent hotels, museums, the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, which can be visited with children. This is one of the largest desert parks in the world – you can not lose sight of such beauty.
For a family visit, travelers advise Mogonai Gorge. This is a picturesque and fantastically beautiful place. It is especially interesting to watch the animals at the watering hole in Safari – in the evening, under the rays of the setting sun, large animals gather: elephants, giraffes, antelopes and others.
8. Esvatini
Those wishing to visit Esvatini you need to know a few things: this is one of the best places to see rhinos, you may not need to make a visa (you can stay in Eswatini for 30 days), the country is easy to get around, because it is small (17 km²; 364 miles²).
Many attractions here are close to each other, so you can see most of the country in just a few days. Beautiful rivers flow through the country, including the largest – Maputo. The vegetation is represented mainly by thickets, but the flora is very rich: about 2400 plant species grow here! Aloe alone, there are 25 species.
7. Mozambique
Mozambique is one of the most ancient states in the world. The territory of the country is huge, almost like half of Europe, and it stretches along the coast of the Indian Ocean. The Indian Ocean is the youngest and warmest of the world’s oceans. The first test of the traveler here is waiting at the airport – a visa can be obtained right at the border. Takes 5-10 minutes.
For some reason, Mozambique is called the land of smiles in guidebooks, although people here smile as often as in other countries (that is, there are no special features). Tourists do not quite understand why Mozambique is recommended for visiting: the country is dirty, but, of course, there will always be those who find beauty in small things.
6. Togo
Togo (officially the Togolese Republic) is a state in West Africa. Despite its small size (area 56 km²), the natural conditions here are quite diverse. Groves of coconut palms, huge baobabs and numerous lagoons give the country a certain flavor and mood.
Especially attractive for travelers are sandy beaches, as well as educational excursions and vibrant bazaars. It is unlikely that you will want to leave Togo empty-handed. You can and even need to bargain in the markets: sellers see tourists and try to sell them souvenirs at a higher price, so you can safely bring down the price. But do not forget, Togo is a poor country, and here everyone earns as they can.
5. Namibia
If you are always looking for unforgettable experiences, then here is the solution for you – go to Namibia! This is a very unusual country for South Africa: firstly, it is safe in African style, and secondly, there are a lot of animals (charge your camera and clear your memory), and in a week you can see everything that you could read in African stories. You will not find such a variety of animals in any other reserve in Africa.
The capital of the country is called Windhoek. The city is located at an altitude of more than one and a half kilometers above sea level, which creates a special climate: it is windy here and it often rains. The city consists of slums, residential areas, industrial zones and a German yard. To visit the Russians do not need a visa – just a passport and the name of the hotel where you are going to stay.
4. Lesotho
Looking at the map of South Africa, one might be surprised that this tiny state of Lesotho is exactly in the center of huge South Africa. It so happened that the state is an island and is part of another state. The biggest feature of Lesotho is the regions of the country – there are almost no roads, but there are fantastic high mountains, waterfalls and here you can still encounter warriors holding spears!
Where should a tourist go? There is nothing to see in Maseru, so it is worth heading for the north-eastern part of the country right away. As travelers say, this is an ideal place for introverts: silence, peace, a lot of space for reflection.
3. Mauritius
What exactly can be advised to those who are going to visit Africa – to visit the island Mauritius. A definite plus is that you do not need a visa to travel here. The flora and fauna of Mauritius has gradually developed, so you can see many unique plant and animal species here.
Like any other corner, the island of Mauritius has its own specifics. The Indian influence is strongly felt here: this applies to both food and religion. Here you can find a hotel for both 50 and 000 per day (it all depends on the budget). But the sea with azure water, waterfalls, beautiful mountains and palm trees are completely free and available to people of any income.
2. Ghana
Some daredevils dare to move to an unfamiliar country. They move and share their impressions! What interesting things do tourists say about Ghana? Ghana is a small country on the west coast of Africa. About 20% of the population here lives below the poverty line. What scares me is the view of the road along the Atlantic Ocean… It reminds me of some Silent Hill, especially in the fog.
The beaches here are littered with garbage, so lying down and sunbathing for pleasure is unlikely to succeed. But there are also pleasant moments. If you need something intriguing, wildlife, savannah, then Ghana is for you. What pleases is that now the country is being actively built up, people can build a house for themselves and their families, which even many Russians are deprived of.
1. Tanzania
Travelers speak very well of Tanzania – the country of Africa, which has become popular for tourists. The advantages for them are obvious: incomparable beaches, the ocean, fruits. Tanzania is a country of childhood dreams with magnificent animals and the golden sand of Zanzibar. Mostly animal lovers come here and shoot on camera.
The difficulty is that there is no direct flight to the place, plus rest here is an expensive pleasure. You need to pay for flights, accommodation, for a safari for several days with overnight stays.
Tanzania is suitable for families with small children, pensioners and anyone who loves a relaxing holiday. But active tourists will also find entertainment here. The country is very colorful with lots of greenery. There are many national parks here, if you wish, you can go diving, and in Zanzibar you can lie down and sunbathe on the beach.
