10 mistakes in flower care

5. The leaves are too small, and the stems are elongated

Usually, in winter or early spring, one can observe such a picture that the stems of the plant seem to stretch out, and the leaves become smaller. Firstly, it is influenced by too high room temperature and frequent watering. You can thin out the plant and it will come to life. But if this happens, say, in the summer, then your pet simply does not have enough feeding.

6. The stem starts to rot

If the stem and leaves start to rot, this indicates that you have flooded the houseplant. In this case, you should not put it in the sun, otherwise the roots of the flower will simply mate. You need to get the plant out of the pot and put it on the pre-prepared newspapers. Gently get wet, remove the wet soil and dry the roots. Then transplant the flower into another pot with new soil and good drainage.

7. The plant practically does not grow

Slow growth can be caused by flooding the plant or not providing it with good lighting and sufficient nutrients. But note that the slow growth of indoor flowers in winter is considered the norm. At this time, your green pet is at rest and is activated with the arrival of spring.

8. The plant does not bloom

This is a fairly common problem encountered not only by beginners, but also by experienced gardeners. Many plants refuse to bloom as a result of too much lighting (or lack of light), an excess of minerals, dry air or a cramped pot. Perhaps your pet needs a transplant for a long time, but you have not taken up this issue.

9. Flowers (buds) began to fall

If the houseplant bloomed, but almost immediately the buds began to fall off, then this may be a sign of insufficient watering, too dry air or poor lighting.

10. The plant seemed to droop

If the leaves of an indoor flower are drooping and the plant looks completely sad, then this may signal that it urgently needs a transplant, or you water it too often, which has caused a lot of humidity. Check if the pot has become too small for the plant, if the roots are bulging. And if this happened, then you urgently need to save your pet by transplanting it into a larger container. Also, the cause of drooping leaves can be too dry air or high temperature in the room.
