«Hachiko” is a British-American melodrama, a remake of a Japanese film, based on a real story. Parker Wilson spots a puppy at the train station. He takes it for himself in the hope that the owners of the animal will appear. After some time, Parker realizes that waiting is pointless. However, the man has already become attached to the dog and does not want to give it to anyone. Thus begins the story of a great friendship.
Hachiko sees off and meets Wilson at the train station every day, the man gets to work by rail. The idyll does not last long. Parker dies of a heart attack. On this day, Hachiko could not wait for the owner, but he still has many days ahead. The dog will no longer leave his post, he will wait and hope. 1. The Story of Hachiko (1987)
The original story of the dog, based on which the film “Hachiko” is based. It started in 1923. A former student presents his teacher with a gift. This is an Akita puppy. The man always kept dogs at home, the puppy became the eighth in a row. So he got his name “Hachi” (Japanese for eighth).
