“Descent” is one of the most successful works of English director Neil Marshall. The film won the Saturn Award for Best Horror Film in 2007.
Surprisingly, this low-budget film brought high profits to its creators. Its budget was £3,5 million (about $4,2 million). Box office receipts exceeded the wildest expectations – 57 million dollars. The producers decided to make a sequel, but it was not as successful.
The film “The Descent” is about a group of girls. These young ladies do not like to sit still. They like thrills, so they intend to spend their next vacation in the mountains.
There they find a cave, and curiosity gets the better of caution. The girls descend into the grotto. They do not even assume that they will not be able to go back.
