Much of what we calmly use in everyday life every day can cause serious harm.
1. Cutting boards
Always use different cutting boards for meat and vegetables. Raw meat can contain bacteria that can cause serious illness. And never use damaged boards because cracks are the perfect breeding ground for bacteria.
2. Garbage shredder
This device is for rubbish only! Never reach into it with your fingers. Even if you accidentally dropped something in there, do not try to reach it with your hands.
3. Meat grinder
Electric grinders are very powerful, so keep your fingers away from them. They always come with a device for pushing the meat. Be sure to use it so as not to get injured.
4. Cookware with non-stick coating
Teflon releases toxic substances at high temperatures. Therefore, for such cases, we recommend old-fashioned, but time-tested dishes.
5. Gas stove
Remember to make sure you unplug it before going to bed or leaving the house. So you protect yourself and your household from the danger of inhaling carbon monoxide.
6. Air fresheners
The chemicals in any air freshener can cause serious lung problems, including cancer. So just ventilate the kitchen often and take out the trash regularly.
7. Sponges
Bacteria grow very quickly on a regular kitchen sponge. Simple washing does not prevent harmful pathogens from multiplying. To kill bacteria, a wet sponge can be microwaved or soaked in chlorine solution for a few minutes.
8. Knives
The knives must always be sharp. If they are not sharp enough, they can bounce off when you cut something and cut your hands or other parts of your body.
9. Kitchen sink
If food remains in the sink long enough, they begin to create a breeding ground for bacteria such as Salmonella, and many others.
10. Plastic food containers
To make plastics resilient, some manufacturers add chemicals to the plastic that can cause serious health problems.
