This year, the largest television and radio broadcasting network in Russia, RTRS, celebrates its 15th anniversary.

2. Voronezh Regional Broadcasting Center became a part of RTRS

The program package (the first multiplex) includes 10 television and 3 radio programs. The coverage of the population of the Voronezh region with digital terrestrial television broadcasting is about 98%.

7. Construction of the network of the second multiplex

In addition, the construction of the second multiplex network is underway (this is another 10 television programs). Currently, the transmitters of the 2nd multiplex are installed at all facilities. The commissioning of the network of the second multiplex in full (51 transmitters) is planned to be carried out after 2018. Currently, the programs of the second multiplex are broadcast in the cities of the region: Voronezh, Rossosh, Borisoglebsk. This is more than half of the region’s population.

8. Digital TV becomes available to everyone

The region continues to broadcast television and radio programs in analogue format. Today it is 130 television and 46 radio broadcasting transmitters. The antenna-mast structures of the ORTPTs house antennas of cellular operators, the Ministry of Emergencies and other organizations. A new infrastructure has been introduced, with new capabilities, with new technologies. It allows not only to see the breakdown of each transmitter in remote access, but also to predict the failure.

9.TV will turn the life of mankind

In parallel with the development of the digital broadcasting network, the development of the analog broadcasting network continues. In 2015-2016 in n. Voronezh, Ostrogozhsk, Buturlinovka, Kalach, Liski put into operation television transmitters broadcasting the Match TV program. By the end of 2016, it is planned to commission radio transmitters in Voronezh for broadcasting Vesti FM and Radio Rossii programs in the FM band at 96,3 MHz and 95,9 MHz, respectively. The coverage of the population of the Voronezh region with analogue broadcasting is more than 98%.
