10 books to make them want to read

How to make children want to read?

The evening story is a very important little ritual to put in place from an early age. It is a moment of complicity with your child. And that will help her to appreciate the books better.

Which books to choose according to the age of your child?

From 6 months, offer him picture books in fabric or with different materials to touch. Around 8 months, test the books with small felt flaps to handle. At this age, children enjoy games of hide and seek. You can also try audiobooks with tiny chips to activate. Around 10 months, continue with slightly more complex pull-out books. From 12 months old, children love to discover the adventures of their favorite heroes: Little Brown Bear, Noddy, T’Choupi… will be successful. Around 16-18 months, you can start reading slightly longer stories. Around 2 years old, children will appreciate traditional tales, in a short version adapted to their age. From 3 years old, their stories get longer and longer and more complex, with questions, objects to find, etc …
