Due to the weak development of the basement membrane, the epidermis easily exfoliates from the dermis, and the imperfect hydrolipid membrane can be destroyed due to exposure to potent substances. In addition, the function of the sweat and sebaceous glands is not fully formed in the child, and the pH of the skin (6,7) is close to a neutral environment, which reduces its protective functions.
