Sci-fi melodrama “Passengers” does not have high ratings. Russian film critics rated it much higher than foreign ones. It contains many errors and inaccuracies. A lot of attention is paid to the love line here, more than the salvation of mankind, so not all viewers agree that the film can be called science fiction.

Initially, the film was planned as a remake of the film of the same name by Tarkovsky. By the way, the majority of Russian viewers are of the opinion that the picture of the compatriot director turned out to be more successful than that of Soderbergh.
