10 Topher Grace
The actor played the role of Venom in the Spider-Man saga 11 years ago. The main villain, the enemy of Peter Parker, turned out to be interesting, but fans of comics lacked the unpredictability and danger of the character. Many believe that Grace completely failed to cope with the image of the villain, as if he had played someone else’s role. The audience’s disappointment was so strong that the image of Venom was not used in the remakes of the film for a long time. Topher himself also no longer experimented with “superhero” films, and did not find himself in the mass entertainment cinema.
9. Liv Tyler
Beautiful Liv has played a lot of cult roles, so she has nothing to worry about popularity. It was only 10 years ago that she got the chance to play the girlfriend of The Incredible Hulk, which, according to the audience, she did not realize. Beloved turned out to be inexpressive, and the romantic line itself did not appeal to fans of comics. The big green monster was played by Norton in 2008 and failed the role, after which he stopped acting in any films that “breathes” with a blockbuster. In his place, they took Mark Ruffalo, who breathed life into an awkward giant. Although the picky audience still manages to argue who got used to the role better. It is hard to imagine that a popular Hollywood actor would be too tough for a role. We remember that 15 years ago, the Marvel film Daredevil with him in the title role was released. Affleck weakly played the role of a blind superhero called to save the world. The public scolded not only the work of the actor on the screen, but also the screenwriters. And the director Johnson himself edited the picture more than once in order to at least slightly improve the effect. Her Sue Storm or Invisible Lady turned out to be expressionless in the opinion of the fans. Perhaps, by the time of filming a powerful superhero project, young Alba simply did not have enough experience – behind him were only youth comedies that were light in plot. After the second part, filmed in 2007, Marvel terminated the contract with the actress, releasing her into free swimming. Jessica began to play roles in romantic, children’s and comedy films that are more in line with her role.
2. Dane DeHaan
The film “The New Spider-Man” really liked the viewer, so it had a natural continuation. Dane was invited to play the role of one of the main villains – the cunning and dodgy Green Goblin. Fans of the comic rightly noted that the actor is completely unsuitable for this role. Perhaps he even overplayed a little, as the image of the Goblin repulsed and disappointed the viewer. DeHaan did not lose heart and once again tried himself in the movie “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets”, also based on comics. However, in this fresh tape, the audience again did not appreciate the actor.
1. Jennifer Garner
The sweet and confident actress outwardly perfectly suited the role of Elektra in the same unsuccessful Daredevil film. Jennifer also starred in the spin-off Elektra of the same name two years later. And if in the first film the audience simply did not like the character, then in the second they frankly disliked him. Critics were also not cordial, smashing both the picture and the actress to smithereens. After that, Garner decided not to play any more roles in box-office films, switching to children’s and comedy projects, as well as independent productions.
