World’s first beer flight: toilets out of order

There were still beer supplies for 20 minutes of the flight, the toilets were out of order, but, as the organizers note, the passengers were satisfied with the flight.

This flight was long awaited. Back in the fall of 2018, it was known that the English brewing company BrewDog would launch the first ever “beer trip”.

“Our passengers will be able to participate in the world’s highest beer tasting. The taste buds work differently during the flight, so our brewers have invented a beer that will taste better when the passenger drinks it in the sky and not on the ground, ”the company promised.

And now the flight is complete! Investors of the crowdfunding company became its passengers. The custom-built BrewDog Boeing 767 jet was to transport 200 investors and 50 brewery workers from London to Columbus, USA, for a tour of the brewery and a visit to the DogHouse beer theme hotel. The founders of BrewDog were also on board.

During the flight, passengers were able to taste the new Flight Club beer – 4,5% IPA, brewed with additional Citra hops to offset the negative impact of high altitude pressure on palatability.

Despite carrying large quantities of craft beer on the first voyage, the BrewDog Boeing 767 passengers were close to literally draining the plane.

It is noted that at the time of the landing of the vessel, beer stocks remained for about 20 minutes of flight.

In addition, before landing, the toilets were out of order and had to be closed. The organizers said that despite this, passengers and crew were in high spirits and were satisfied with the world’s first beer flight.

Recall that earlier we talked about the invention of a refrigerator that orders beer itself.
