Why when losing weight you need to drink iced tea
 

The fact that drinking tea has a beneficial effect on the loss of extra pounds has long been known. But recent research by scientists from the University of Friborg (Switzerland) has strengthened this knowledge with a new fact: it turns out that it is iced tea that brings the greatest benefits.  

Swiss scientists have found that cold herbal tea burns twice as many calories as hot tea. In trials, iced tea has been found to promote fat oxidation and subsequent energy release, increasing the rate at which you burn calories.

To reach these conclusions, the researchers gave 23 volunteers herbal mate tea. So, on one day, the participants drank 500 ml of herbal tea at a temperature of 3 ° C, and on the other day – the same tea at a temperature of 55 ° C.

The results showed that the rate of calorie burn increased by an average of 8,3% with the consumption of iced tea, compared with a 3,7% increase with the consumption of hot tea. 

 

It would seem, well, what are the numbers, some small ones. But those who know a lot about losing weight understand that there are simply no magic pills thanks to which you will immediately lose a lot of weight. Losing weight is a constant and painstaking work, with proper nutrition, adherence to the drinking regime, and exercise. And when all these factors take place in your life, the extra pounds go away faster. And against the background of such a systematic work, these 8,3%, which iced tea adds to calorie burning, no longer seem so insignificant.
