We treat colds quickly

As a child, we, taking advantage of the opportunity and the high temperature (obtained not without the help of a hot battery), gladly skipped school with a diagnosis of “inflammation of cunning”. And, having matured and becoming “conscious”, they went to the other extreme: feeling the serious symptoms of a cold and flu, all the same, all in snot, we rush to work, ignoring the SOS signals of the sick organism.

Vain labor

No performance, no mood, no good, and no luck in life. By the way, automotive experts do not advise driving if you feel unwell, because poor health and side effects from drugs affect the body like a decent dose of alcohol. In short, it is better not to torture yourself and those around you, and spend your hard days at home.

In some companies, management believes that a cold is not a reason to shirk from day to day responsibilities. Often, patients are exposed to open psychological pressure: messages are sent to all colleagues by e-mail indicating the number of days each of them missed due to illness.

Another reason that encourages sick employees to refuse sick leaves is the awareness of their own importance, irreplaceability, or a sense of responsibility to the company.

Experts believe that bosses who force their employees to work during an illness lose three times more from this than if their subordinates took the ballot and stayed at home. An unhealthy person is not able to perform his duties at full strength. For this reason, German companies are missing 200 billion euros a year.

We are sick with pleasure

1. The main rule that a sick person should learn is not to postpone until tomorrow what can be cured today. The sooner you see a doctor, the better! Apply for a sick leave and actively engage in health, so that you can then return to active activity without unpleasant consequences and complications. After all, a common cold can easily turn into bronchitis or pneumonia.

2. If the doctor has prescribed bed rest, then you need to lie down at home. What primarily means “finally get enough sleep” – for a weakened organism, this is one of the best medicines. During sleep, the body recovers itself, producing all the substances necessary for vital activity and replenishing the energy expended during the day.

3. But you won’t sleep all day long. Just lying around is boring. Forced idleness must be enjoyed! Despite the fact that the process of treatment can only be called a rest with a stretch, everyone can take a creative approach to the problem. Cheer yourself up! Organize yourself a bunch of little amenities that can turn the most hopeless melancholy into a holiday of disobedience. Illness is the only good reason for watching TV shows legally. Or start with a home movie session: where is the movie you were given a couple of days two months ago?

Further – books. Where is the “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” audio book presented to you on March 8? And what about the music? Is Katamadze’s latest album still cellophane? In vain.

If you still look around the bottom of the barrel, you will surely find untied sweaters, unfinished paintings and unfinished aircraft models. Well, you never know what else you can do without getting out of bed.

4. Pamper yourself. Perhaps you are not a film fan, and you also have no hobbies. At the very least, you need to please yourself with something tasty. Indulge your favorite dish – have it delivered directly to your home. For me personally, sushi, red caviar, and Cherry Cheesecake from a French pastry shop act as a highly effective healing agent.
