“Volcanic” chocolate will appear in Japan

Volcanic soils account for only 1% of the world’s surface and, for sure, this is why they are so attractive. The unique composition of volcanic soils gives the products grown on them an interesting taste and, of course, exclusivity.

So, we have already written about wine, which is made from a vine growing on a volcano. And very soon, on the eve of Valentine’s Day in Japan, Sublime Volcanic KitKat chocolate will go on sale. It will be made from cocoa beans that grow directly on volcanoes on very small islands.

Growing in fertile volcanic soil, these beans are said to give chocolate a unique flavor. And, of course, such cocoa beans are incredibly rare, as they account for only 0,2% of the world’s chocolate production.

The Sublime Volcanic series will be available in three different varieties from cocoa beans grown on 3 different volcanic islands. It is reported that the cost of one chocolate bar will be 400 yen, or $ 3,7.

Recall that earlier we wrote about a new sushi trend in Japan, when sushi is laid out in a mosaic so that it is a pity to eat.
