Vegetarianism

A vegetarian diet is called a complete or partial withdrawal from the use of animal products.

The strictest vegetarians are called vegans. They eat only food of plant origin, without even milk, eggs and honey which are produced by animals. Not to mention the meat and fish.

Some vegans don’t even eat mushrooms, because they formally do not belong to the vegetable world.

Allowing themselves  not only plant foods, but also dairy products and eggs, are called lactovegetarians.

If the person is really sure that he or she should replace animal protein in the plant, probably, such food is available. But it should be a complete replacement of one protein source to another, not something completely different.

Many people praise a vegetarian diet, talk about how they feel better and loose weight. In clinical practice, doctors sometimes use vegetarian fasting days. There are certain diseases in which vegetarianism is shown, but briefly — as a course of treatment.

However, unfortunately, it is impossible toreplace “live” amino acids from animal products. Because they are embedded in all systems of the body, primarily in muscle. In any case, even with a diet rich in vegetable sources of protein, the body lacks the main building material for tissues and organs — animal protein. From the proceeds of the protein depends on the state of the immune and endocrine systems, even because of all the hormones have protein structures.

Especially the lack of protein is visible in veganism, which prohibits dairy products, eggs and fish.

In addition, the long stay on a vegan diet develops iron deficiency anemia because a larger amount of iron the body can absorb only from products of animal origin, particularly red meats.

Vegetarianism is not only diet. It is also a way of thinking, because this system supply people pass, firmly convinced of the correctness of the correctness of their lifestyle. And, even if the doctors find clear violations associated with such power supply system, for example, swelling – it is virtually impossible to convince people that their problem lies in the shortfall of animal protein. This is a very clear position in life, and the choices each person makes for himself, but not always aware of the consequences.
