Useful properties of wine

Red wine should be included in your diet for those who are obese or simply control their weight.

This is the conclusion reached by American scientists from Purdue University in Indiana, who found piceatannol in red wine: this substance is able to slow down the processes of fat accumulation in young, not yet “ripe” adipocytes, that is, fat cells. Thus, the body’s ability to accumulate fat decreases due to a decrease in the capacity of adipocytes, although their number remains unchanged.

Since piceatannol is also found in grape seeds and skins, teetotalers can substitute fresh grape juice for wine.

The nice thing is that wine not only helps to lose weight. It also has many beneficial properties, says Evgenia Bondarenko, a specialist in the medicinal properties of wine, Ph.D. And not only red – white too, despite the fact that it is produced without the participation of grape seeds and skins, in which the content of piceatannol and other nutrients is increased. So, wine improves digestion, because it knows how to break down proteins, and interferes with the formation of cholesterol.

A review of research on the properties of wine, published in an authoritative scientific journal, showed clearly that 2-3 glasses of wine a day are really beneficial for the health of the cardiovascular system and reduce the risk of myocardial infarction. It is red wine that is especially effective in this matter, since it is rich in natural antioxidants: tannins, flavonoids, and in addition, substances called oligomeric proanthocyanidins. They have anti-cancer, antimicrobial and vasodilating effects and are able to restore the skin after sunburn. Apply internally!

All in all, wine would be the perfect medicine if it didn’t contain alcohol. Therefore, doctors strongly recommend, forgetting about the prevention of heart attack, limit yourself to only 1 glass (150 ml) of wine per day for women and 2 glasses per day for men.
