Useful properties of honey

Every family should have a jar or two of organic raw honey as it has many health benefits.   We want honey, not sugar

The health benefits of honey are so amazing, and so infamous, that they were almost forgotten with the advent of sugar and sugar substitutes. Honey is not only a sweetener for foods and drinks, but also an ancient medicinal drug.

Athletes use honey water to improve performance. They swear it’s much better than drinking chemical-poisoned sports drinks.

There are many beautiful jars of honey on store shelves. They look clean and bright, but stay away from them! These pretty jars contain fake honey that has been heavily processed and diluted with corn syrup or lots of sugar. They do not contain genuine honey at all. They can do more harm than good.   The best honey

The best way to buy honey is to negotiate with a beekeeper or visit the local farmers’ market. They most often offer raw honey. Raw honey can prevent hay allergy symptoms caused by the spore pollen it contains. Spend money only on the best natural honey.

Honey as medicine

Most people go to the drugstore looking for cough, cold and flu medicines and often choose medicines with honey and lemon as ingredients. They know it’s supposed to be good for them, but they often waste their money. A glass of warm water with honey and fresh lemon juice is much more effective.

Raw honey contains the antioxidants we need in our daily diet to neutralize the free radicals that are so bad for our health. In fact, honey contains many more antioxidants than some fruits and vegetables.

Raw honey is rich in enzymes that help in the digestion of food, it is very useful for irritable bowel syndrome. Drinking honey also stimulates B-lymphocytes and T-lymphocytes, activating their reproduction, and this strengthens the immune system. Thousands of years ago, Hippocrates (we know him as the author of the Hippocratic Oath) treated most of his patients with honey. He dedicated much of his life to healing sick children who got better from the honey they were given.

Today, there are many studies proving the beneficial properties of honey, all of which are described in medical journals. Perhaps the most famous contemporary physician in this field is Dr. Peter Molam. He is a scientist who works in Waikato, New Zealand. Dr. Molam has spent almost his entire life researching and proving the benefits of honey.

We also have to give credit to the researchers at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem who have proven that taking honey is beneficial in treating stomach ulcers. All you need to do for healing is to eat two tablespoons of good raw honey every day.

Honey also helps with all kinds of skin injuries such as bedsores, burns and even baby diaper rash with spectacular results. In fact, honey heals faster than any chemical preparations. In addition to being sweet and fragrant, honey cures most diseases due to its ability to corrode and destroy bad bacteria (stomach ulcers are caused by bacteria, not stress) without destroying the good bacteria our digestive system and skin need to heal faster.

Honey can be useful in baking, mixed with fruit, used as a natural sweetener in smoothies, soothes coughs, and can be used as a skin rejuvenator.

Attention

How wonderful that honey is good for our health, but it is not suitable for babies (children under 12 months old). Honey contains bacterial spores that children may not be able to handle. The digestive system of babies is much weaker and has not yet been fully colonized with beneficial bacteria. Never give honey to babies.
